Money is pouring in for Kamala Harris as U.S. presidential candidate

It will almost certainly be a Harris win IMO. I’ve thought that since Biden stepped down. She clearly has the momentum and has done for months. If Trump wins I will be shocked!

Democrats didn't have a choice because those around Biden hid his cognitive decline as long as possible. By the time it was revealed in the debates, the primaries were over. The only possible way to move on from Biden was to rally behind the Vice President.

They could have had open debates in the Democratic Convention but that would have been very luckily and resulted in a very fractured party right before the election.

Biden should have announced a year ago that he was not going to run for reelection. Then they could have had an open primary and let the voters pick the candidate. Biden didn't do that and left Democrats in a no-win situation.

Biden stepping aside was an honorable thing but it couldn't make up for the problems he caused. I am hesitant to blame him because I am not sure when the cognitive decline sets in if one has the mental capacity left to recognize it.

The democrats knew she wasn’t good enough. The Obama’s knew, the Clinton’s knew. Everyone knew.

It looks like she was set up to take the fall. They didn’t want their up and coming stars to have to campaign in an ugly election battle with Trump.

Still, Harris will believe she was good enough and will think she can stand at the next election. There’s no way she will be selected. Maybe then she will realise she was used by the Democrats, effectively as cannon fodder against Trump, who operates like a war machine.

They will argue that they spent over a billion dollars on the campaign, had all the big celebs turn out and will try to blame her or even her supporters for not turning out in big enough numbers.

But it’s not her fault. It was those around her and the nonsense they tried to get everyone to believe that she was capable, even though they didn’t believe it themselves.

I hate making predictions, but I'm leaning towards a Harris win. It totally depends on how the undecideds go, which is impossible to predict.
Hillary Clinton was thought to be the sure winner, but then a lot of undecided votes went to Trump. Fingers crossed.

Many posters on here highlighted months ago that Harris wasn’t a good enough candidate. I myself stated in this thread that she talks in banalities, hasn’t got clear policies, that it was hubris to get carried away with the excitement and that hard work was needed to overcome her short comings. That pride comes before a fall.
You all shot everybody down that had this measured and reasonable viewpoint.

Posts actually argued that she is articulate and could deliver great speeches. I mean, reading back on these, it’s embarrassing.

You all got carried away. Just like in 2016. You got caught out then and will do so again because you underestimated a person who has already won a presidential campaign and you put your faith in another who is was never going to convince others that she is a leader. You were told ‘joy’ isn’t a reason to vote for someone and still you didn’t listen.

If democrat supporters asked the tough questions of their nominee at the start and expected results, you would be in a much better position. Instead, you covered up for her, deflected, fan-girled and tried to convince others not to see with their eyes and listen with their ears. Just like you all did when you pretended not to see an ailing Biden. Just like you pretended that he was one of the greatest ever presidents in the days after he withdrew from the race.

And now what? now Trump is likely to win the presidency. All because you didn’t listen. You didn’t hold the democrats to account and now they will blame Harris for the loss, even though they knew she was never a good enough candidate to beat Trump in the first place.

This is what happens when you lie to yourself and others. Holding your politicians to account, asking the hard questions is how you get a good enough leader to beat Trump. This is the tale of hubris

It is when instead of supporting a candidate that had a chance of beating him, you stumped for Harris.

This thread was started because the OP was astonished how much money was pouring in for Harris. We now know her campaign has spent a billion dollars in the last 3 months and she can’t collect anymore votes than she already gained money ago.

That is deeply embarrassing that the candidate that has spent the most in US history on their campaign, is going to lose to Trump.

This is because of all the fan girl nonsense we had months back instead of holding Harris to account and thus making her stronger.

It’s too late now. The dems know it. Trump knows it. And there were a few posters on here that warned months ago that it would happen.

I genuinely cannot see any appeal of KH, she’s just a nothing. She has no discernible values, spends 90% of her time just slating Trump. And does it in the most ridiculous way that makes her look nasty, and usually a liar too. Those who call him Hitler, I genuinely think are a bit dim, it really has no meaning or basis. It’s just so dumb.
