Reform are getting a shitload of voters

I have not voted
Reform and live in a safe tory seat But I voted
Lib dem tactical vote

I said ages Ago on here the reform would do really well and was shouted down.

Same as brexit, no one will admit voting for reform but
They still do it in droves it seems.

I'm Willing to bet they
Might win an election in four years at this rate!!

Sunderland was always expected to have a massive Reform vote, don't extrapolate from them to the general population.

Literally every single person i know apart from one has said they were going to vote reform, and its this kind of dismissive sneering that makes it more likely

It's a huge worry. Labour will need to increase living standards for the worst off and reduce inequality if they want to head off far right populists.

Because of the sneering, superior attitude of Labour supporters Reform will do even better next time if Labour win! This is exactly what happened with Brexit! Labour and its supporters have a tendency to brand anyone who doesn't agree with them as either thick or racist and 4 years of them in government is only going to intensify the disdain that non labour supporters have for them!

This may have been aimed at me. You'd have to been blind not to realise that inequality has increased massively in the last 20 years. Of course this has an effect on people's beliefs. ITt would also be disingenuous to suggest there wasn't a north/south divide in England with some deprived southern coastal communities being socially "Northern". See also Wales.

I think it shows a lot of anger at the main parties.

And it’s a serious issue for the future, which will most likely be ignored until it’s too late.

If Starmer doesn’t please the people who voted for him, they could easily vote Reform next time.

The hard right almost always rise due to the crapness of the main parties.

It makes sense. There are a lot of people pissed off with the tories and that the fabled brexit didn't come to fruition. These aren't the kind of people who would vote for Labour in protest against the Tory Party. So they vote Reform cos there is nowhere else for them to go. It's like the Andrew Tate of politics.

They’re big Brexit supporting areas, where those people who thought life would be better for them out of the EU have not found it so. And they voted Reform as a result. As others are saying, vote share won’t be like this over much of the country. Regardless, even with increased vote shares, they won’t translate into winning seats, so they won’t have real power, but their success tonight is likely to mean a shift of the Conservative Party even further to the right, which is not good news for anyone.

Votes so came second. If that replaced over the country that's a shed load of votes

It won't look like that in London, the South East or the University Cities. But yes in deprived ex-industrial communities this seems to be the trend. Watch out for Blackpool, the Medway Towns and Wales.
