Reform party seems to be ahead in my area.

Northwest and lots of support here. Window stickers ect.. I’ve noticed friends and friends and families changing their Facebook profile logo to reform - it’s weird as I’ve never seen that before.

I don’t want reform to win as I don’t think they’re be capable. I don’t think they will win either so I think it’s more of a protest vote.

I’ll never vote for Labour and greens as they have been totally captured by trans ideology. I don’t want to vote conservative because they don’t deserve it. Reform won’t win it and are incapable but I might just vote them in protest.

If Kemi Badernoch becomes leader of the Tories tomorrow I would vote Tories.

I think they know they are going to lose and are just waiting for Labour to get in make everything even worse than it is and pull Kemi out the bag for a fresh start

I suspect it's a protest vote against the Tories. I wouldn't expect it to affect any other political parties to any extent.

Can I ask what your views are on Farage’s positive comments about Andrew Tate? I think they’re enough to terrify any woman. Do you think Reform’s plans to scrap the Equalities act and pull out of the ECHR will be hugely detrimental to women’s hard-fought rights and set us back decades? What’s the point of passing a law to ban trans people from changing rooms, when on the other hand we could also lose maternity rights, equal pay, and go back to having no protection from domestic violence because that’s the reality of their plans.

Also, Farage keeps banging on about French-style reform of the NHS but his plans don’t resemble the French system at all. Are you worried about us ending up with a US-style system of healthcare where even insured people end up bankrupted from a cancer diagnosis?

I just believe that he’s coming out with all this stuff, but his words and actions are already proving that he’s extremely disingenuous about the promises in his ‘contract’.

@Anonym00se to add, you say why would I vote for someone with horrible views - Keir Starmer has the most awful view of all - that men can be women. It makes an absolute mockery of women and girls rights. He must really hate us. I cannot vote for this utter denial of basic truth.

@Anonym00se Of course! Stopping the mention of trans ideology in schools is a massive step forward. Any steps towards reclaiming womens rights are welcome. Looking to total reform of the NHS to a more French based system is a superb idea - no amount of money will fix the black hole of our NHS now. Not treating the NHS like some sacred religion and looking to real improvement is refreshing. Plus some lovely little extras like scrapping inheritance tax (a bloody stealth tax if I ever saw one!) and scrapping the BBC licence fee. Even if they can't achieve it there are some fab ideas here.

There’s a small part of me that makes me want to see what would happen if they were suddenly forced to implement them.

Also edited to add that I don’t think that Reform voters are racist or far right. But Reform themselves are, so what is the appeal of voting for people with horrible views like theirs?

I was going to vote Tory (although I didn't want to, it's purely because I didn't want to vote Labour) but Reform have some refreshing policies so I'm going to vote for them.

I am not far right, or racist, or 'thick' or any of the ridiculous insults that have been thrown around recently. (Those who have to sling childish insults at anyone whose opinion differs to their own are not worth listening to). I have no doubt Labour will form the next Government but I certainly will not have voting for them on my conscience!

Reform policies aren't costed either. Not that it matters to them - they won't have to implement them.

If an official poll, pay attention. If just bollocks on FB, take with a pinch of salt.

The referendum results within the margin of error for polling leading up to it IIRC. And it was a narrow win on a yes/no referendum. That’s very different to getting seats in a FPTP election.

The Brexit party vote is extremely inefficient. They’ll need to take some pointers from the lib dems if they want to translate their vote share into seats. Or the Green Party in the last local elections.

I know someone who went to school with Farage. He was not particularly objectionable to him, other than being very racist and pro Nazi.

Yes it is the same. People listened to Farage’s lies, cast their votes and shafted the country. And not content with the part they played (“Yes, it was a mistake. We were lied to!”) they’re now going to do exactly the same thing all over again. You couldn’t make it up. Isn’t it a case of “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me”?

Not everyone who votes Reform is a racist but every racist votes for them.
The only people I know irl who plan to vote reform are indeed racists. They are gleeful at the prospect of Nigel Garbage leaving black and brown people to drown in the channel which is apparently part of Reform’s plan with their floating wall without handholds. Staff on the wall will be told that anyone in the water on the french side are the sole responsibility of the french coast guard and not to offer assistance.

I agree. Sadly far too many people are either uninformed (or only know what they think they know through SM) or have their fingers in their ears saying 'lalala I'm not listening to you' as DD1 used to do when she was a teenager.

Far age is 60 years old, so this was maybe 45 years ago. Have none of your views changed since you were at school? Are you really, really proud of everything you said and did as a teenager?
