Trump is a loser. We must always keep that in mind, when things look bleakest: he won once, and since then has lost pretty consistently.

And when he won he was a unproven politician, full of vague promises.
Now he's got a track record of being a godawful politician who fails to keep even vague promises.

As someone who may have over-read Tolkien in their youth (if that's even possible) it's hard not to imagine some sort of battle in the skies. Well without coffee at least.

The Obamas have endorsed Kamala.

There had been a few questions around why they had not come out for her yet and whether they actually wanted an open convention. However Mooch suggested on today’s TRIP US (obviously recorded before the endorsement was announced) that they were just avoiding stepping on Biden’s toes - they had apparently been key background players in getting him to step down so they didn’t want it to look like they were shoving him out the door by immediately endorsing Kamala.

Trump hasn't quite backed out of debate with Harris but his campaign say they won't commit to any schedule with her until she is confirmed as nominee (plus insert guff about DNC looking for a "better" candidate)

I used to have a made up name twitter account that I've lost and this one is in my real name fo complaining to Utility companies! So I don't really use it to sound off online, just lurk and read

It would certainly cause some interesting issues for men of the Former Guy's ilk.

TFG managed to get some women to marry him, so knows he has children... but there are a lot of his ilk who don't know whether they've fathered children, or have spent their lives ignoring or actively denying paternity of their children.

Maybe people without children should count for 3/5ths of a normal person ?

It reminded me slightly of the idea of the votes of people who were black only being worth three-fifths as much as the votes of people who were white. And wasn't there something about literacy tests for black people but not white people?
