anyone seen starmer?

From what I can see, after his entirely unconvincing "position" on gaza he has essentially disappeared from view. Blair notoriously used to do this a lot when he wanted to avoid legitimate questions, leaving brown nosing slaves to face questions from the proles.
So over to the mnet net, which I know has wise tentacles everwhere

The massive point you seem to be missing about me is I want that, too. I said eons ago that I feel no one on MN ever really wants a conversation about that and here you are , eventually, on page 16 saying the quiet bit out loud instead of smug put downs and twatterising and picking sematic holes in my posts.

Thing is, @Offwiththecircus you go on and on and on about how awful Starmer is, but we still have very little idea of what you do want. It's also impossible to tell whether, given a choice of three options (vote Tory, vote Labour, firing squad) which you would choose.

For starters:
Something more left
Something which promises to seriously roll back Tory wreckage
A leader who doesn't chop and change his policies/promises (the beeb interview on Sunday highlighted more than one)
A leader who doesn't hope I have the memory of a goldfish
A leader who doesn't try to silence decent labour party folk.
A bit of bloody passion would kinda help as well.

Hopefully a leader who doesn't diss anyone who has issues with him/questions for him as a Tory or as a member of an elite - as some on here have tried to. With zilch evidence.

Maybe he would win the last point I don't know - if so puts him ahead of some.

He apparently has other plans for rail in the north.
But won't actually say what these are.
So quite probably no intention of saying pre election.

The assumptions folk make on here are truly staggering.
I have said multiple times that I expect him to win.
(though that is maybe part of the problem - I fear he has taken a leaf out of Heseltine's rule on oppositions and policies)

Would I class myself as liberal? - yes.
left of centre? - yes

I fear your repeated line says more about you and your assumptions than me.

All a bit rum since some folks within labour in the recent years have been seen as metropolitan elite.

Which partly very probably accounts for certain voting upsets.

Anyways, every day seems to bring more Starmer disappointment and evasions.

I did as I said watch the beeb interview at the weekend.

Folk I see out and about in London. Range of folk, Not pre-filtered for political opinions, though have the idea that most are left of centre

Folk need to remember that a politicians public profile is totally regulated by the media, so atm we have quite a bit of Sunak, due to the Houthi issues in the Red Sea and UK military being involved.

Starmer etc can say what they like as often as they like but atm wont get the coverage the Government will.

But having said that, many posters, esp those who claim to be floating or former Lab voters, are often very far from that, they have one aim only... Trash Labour/Starmer.

I am confused as well.
Now we have established that Starmer wasn't MIA and that Labour have policies, are we now being told that that wasn't actually the question?
