anyone seen starmer?

From what I can see, after his entirely unconvincing "position" on gaza he has essentially disappeared from view. Blair notoriously used to do this a lot when he wanted to avoid legitimate questions, leaving brown nosing slaves to face questions from the proles.
So over to the mnet net, which I know has wise tentacles everwhere

And I have pointed out, and I'm asking you politely, to follow the conventions that most people use on Mumsnet of quoting properly. i.e. use the quote function, or c+p the relevant bit, or even - heaven forfend - use correct, literary punctuation to quote other people

It's much less obvious, and therefore not as easy to read, when you quote the way you (sometimes choose to) do.

And 'confirmation bias' is nothing to do with experiments - no idea where you got this idea from! - and it is absolutely about having an innate prejudice towards something or someone, which you're looking to confirm every time you see or hear anything about that thing or person. In your case, Sir Keir Starmer.

Not sure what is a "bit sad".
And I thought it pretty clear from my posts that what I was very much focussed on was substance.
Where on earth you could have got the idea from that I crave soundbites I don't know.
Have you been reading someone else's posts?

Online writing/comms is somewhat different from more formal writing. And is usually accepted as long as the meaning is clear. People are sometimes typing on less than perfect devices.

If anything is unclear, do feel free to ask, politely, for clarification of course.

It may surprise you to know that my background is use of the English language.

Your "point" is somewhat odd in any case since your last post was solely comprised of:

Odd quoting? As I said, am not a pro at this place - my quoting still clear I think.

It's not "confirmation bias" - we are talking about a person, not an experiment with ball bearings in a bowl or whatever. My ideas about him so far have not been drawn from watching with no sound - but from listening listening. So not "just from". I have noted his somewhat passionless delivery before though. As if reading a multi-drafted script.

Anything of substance?
I did with sound off momentarily catch sight of him giving some sort of speech with a banking logo behind him.
He surely has one of the least convincing speech techniques of any politico I remember. He was very noticeably looking sideways at the teleprompter pretty often - hardly helps a sense of passion (though maybe he doesn't have a lot) - you would think they would put the teleprompter in front/below him at least.
Anyways - do tell us what he said please.

Well, the tories are obsessed with Rwanda, football and some other useless very important things at present, so from a strategy point of view it is better to sit quietly and watch.
I think we are going to have to wait it till the elections campaign. At least he has enough common sense not to get tangled in the tories shithole. I do want to see the leadership and big politics skills, but I am happy to wait for a bit.

Starmer wasn't in charge when Labour lost the Red Wall, was he? It was distinctly left wing But Corbyn. It doesn't appear to be lack of socialism that was the problem in the Red Wall, comrade.
