If there was a GE today who would you vote for?

Bit cheeky but I’m curious to see if there are genuinely any Tory voters out there at all following another disastrous week for Rishi Sunak.

So who would get your vote?

I‘ll go first, I would vote Labour. As much as I would love to hear more on policy and a firm grittiness from them, I do understand that Keir Starmer is doing the best he can, in that he can’t alienate a large proportion of the electorate so needs to toe the line.

Genuine questions...Is there any party that will focus on the middle earners in the south east , where both partners work full time, who are struggling juggling mortgages, cost of childcare and self fund everything and are over threshold for any help or subsidies ie child benefit, cost of living payments, free childcare via universal credit?

We are just so sick of paying into the system and getting nothing back! The amount of tax we pay is insane, certainly not anywhere near value for money.

Labour just seem to want to focus on single parent families and those on universal credit.

Just this week our glorious Prime Minister announced that he was removing the proposal for a meat and pasty tax, along with seventy billion bins.

I vote for whoever is most likely to beat the SNP locally.

Which means I've voted Labour, Tory and Libdem over the last decade depending on whether its a local, Scottish or General Election.

I think the polls are such that I will be voting Labour at the General. Ideologically I am Labour but the constitution is the vote deciding issue in Scotland.

Because the idea of Kier Starmer is terrifying. The tories are incompetant, arrogant shits but kier is even worse, to be honest its a rock and a hard place. I think most people are politically homeless, Ive never known it so bad.

Labour. They are the second party round here after Conservatives, but I’d vote tactically to get them out. They need to go.

Anyone who thinks we need another term of them has had their eyes and ears closed for the past thirteen years.

Exactly this! I don’t think people realise how low the average household wage is right now compared to the cost of living. It’s a dire situation for the country and an eye watering gap between the rich and poor in society. We are in 2023, we have technology at our fingertips, we need innovation, ambition and drive. At the minute it’s like living in a dystopian society just doom and gloom at every corner.

Honestly really curious as to why you would vote conservative after the past 13 years.

Also understand the fatigue with politics and the ‘not voting’ people but surely you want to use your democratic power to make change? This current governments culture war has clearly worked otherwise by making you believe everyone is like them and can’t be trusted which I don’t believe is the case.
