Utterly debased herself with her unabashed, brown-nosed sycophancy, only to be cast offf like trash when it comes to rewards for the boys.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer woman.

Once upon a time there was an MP who admitted to lying in the House of Commons. He then stepped down and devoted the rest of his life to charitable work.

I remember it happening. I think I was a teenager at the time.

dubsie · 26/06/2023 07:07

I think it's because like Boris she was utterly bent. The whole bunch were toxic and horrible characters...Mogg, Boris etc.....

TizerorFizz · 22/06/2023 23:42

She has written fiction. Unfortunately all female politicians get on line abuse and many have had death threats.

Abhannmor · 22/06/2023 17:26

Not actually gone though has she? Very odd.

Was just watching an A Different Bias YouTube episode on her actually. She once threatened to nail someone's testicles to the floor with his own teeth.

Is this the origin of her nickname - Mad Nads ?
Despite this colourful and rather graphic post she thinks she is a victim of online abuse . If politics doesn't work out I think she could write BDSM porn or maybe horror stories.

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 15/06/2023 16:40

I’m sure she’ll find a role on afternoon TV somewhere. ‘Watercolour Challenge’ or the Sun Life advert beckon.

@Iwantmyoldnameback I assume because she believed in Conservative ideals. Often Conservatives step outside family convention. We are not stuck voting one way for life based on our parents. We can think for ourselves. If we didn’t, the Green Party would get no votes!

Iwantmyoldnameback · 15/06/2023 11:19

Given her back story why the hell is she a Tory anyway?

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 13/06/2023 14:28

At least we won't have a 'there are dark forces at work' nutjob in the Lords scrutinising legislation and seeing conspiracies against her everywhere.

And we won't have her as an MP.

Win/win 😂

I wonder whether she'll continue writing her penny dreadfuls...

TizerorFizz · 13/06/2023 16:00

In general, it’s about time a pm vacating the role did not put people forward for honours. Use the Kings birthday list! Or whatever! The Lords Committee turned her down. Plus several others. Good Richi would not intervene. Good for him. We need rid of people like this. Attention seeking narcissists .

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 13/06/2023 14:55

"A seat in the Lords was recognition of that - and a means of continuing to give back to society."

'Not to mention pocketing £ 300 plus a day attendance for as long as I could make it in.'

calimali · 13/06/2023 14:34

The utter brass neck of the woman -
"I was born into poverty and clawed my way out of it to build a new life for me and my family, and then carved out a role in public service.
"A seat in the Lords was recognition of that - and a means of continuing to give back to society."

How much was she giving back to society, to her constituents indeed, when she was busy filming I'm a Celebrity in Australia for weeks? Where was her sense of public duty then?

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 13/06/2023 14:28

EyelessArseFace · 13/06/2023 14:20

The woman's an idiot. She's now saying that 'sinister forces' have prevented her from taking up her rightful seat in the Lords.

An outbreak of common sense, more like.

flapjackfairy · 13/06/2023 14:25

Nadine Dorries is to Boris what Mrs Tishell is to Doc Martin.
Wonder if Carrie had a hand in denying ND her reward ?

Hoppinggreen · 13/06/2023 14:22

Classism apparently.
Definitely nothing to do with the fact that she’s pointless other than for entertainment value

TizerorFizz · 11/06/2023 16:46

There could, of course, be a political backlash in Con seats if these people are foisted on them. The Con selection panels need to be very careful!

TizerorFizz · 11/06/2023 16:33

@SwedishEdith I am also not sure they all start out as glory hunters but Nadine Dorries is one that took herself too seriously!

Nadine Dorries told Vanessa Felz that someone with her background deserved an honour. She borrowed shoes to go to school apparently. It’s just one big sob story after another. Didn’t stop her paying relatives big sums on expenses for working for her in the expenses scandal.

These MPs are going to be like dominoes. They are doing it to destabilize the government of Sunak. It’s a disgrace. The Cons have this low-life faction who cannot be team players. They are out for themselves. Not their constituents or the country as a whole. Rees Mogg is in need of another constituency as his has been altered by the boundary commission making it more difficult for him to get elected. Ditto Boris. They are chancers. I would not say all Cons are like this but the rump of the party need to be expelled from it.

SwedishEdith · 11/06/2023 11:26

Tbf, there's an awful lot of MPs who are quietly just doing a really good job. They're just not attention seekers. It's those who entered politics for their own, not the greater, good who are the problem. And the constituency parties who can't spot that before selecting them.

MrsSkylerWhite · 11/06/2023 10:43

Fair point. Or have the enormous ego required.

Treesdostandtall · 11/06/2023 10:41

Only a few thousand are crazy enough to be politicians. That’s your gene pool

MrsSkylerWhite · 11/06/2023 10:35

I don’t understand how these incompetents worm their ways into positions of power. 66 million people and these are really the best we can muster?

lljkk · 11/06/2023 10:32

No one mentions constituency local party committees, surely THEY select who next candidate will be in their area. Do they really want controversial Boris who spends most his time in US doing lucrative after dinner speeches, and constantly draws controversy? Constituencies want "good constituency MPs" who hold regular surgeries, listen to constituents, represent all people in that area well. Why would any local party committee choose Boris unless the calibre of candidates they are getting is poor, or the candidate has another quality that makes them very suitable? BJ did have cross-party appeal, was quite urban-interests-associated, hence he was attractive in a semi-marginal London constituency like Uxbridge which could vote either way. But for a constituency that should be safe Tory, they just want a nice reliable candidate, they don't need someone with BJ's supposed cross-party appeal. If it's a rural area, they want someone who has tangible links to rural concerns, not an urbanite.

Or maybe I'm wrong. Certainly the soap opera is entertaining. Everyone says BJ wants to be in opposition & win from opposition again, and will be happy to earn well paying off his debts for next 3 years, anyway.

mach2 · 11/06/2023 07:59

Mad Nad fans need not despair - i'm sure the reality TV circuit beckons.

i think they are obviously both planning to elope
