Yes, absolutely essential to have a piss up at every opportunity 🙄 I'm getting bored of talking about what a shameless, lying, good for nothing sack of shit he is. He is just a next level disgrace. I desperately hope that this is the end of him, but not counting any chickens just yet

A good friend of mine is in the Boris cult. She has an excuse for absolutely everything he has done. It's never ever his fault. She's a lifelong Tory voter, but will never vote for them again after 'they all stabbed him in the back' 🤦🏻‍♂️ it's just mind-blowing. I can think of a few politicians who inspire devotion in some people and they all make some sort of sense but THIS GUY???? Seriously???

I agree with Max Hastings- hard to be civil to anyone in his family given the wreck and mess they have made. Except for his mother who was apparently a very kindly person.

I expect him to lurk about in an increasingly ridiculous way like an ageing Borisconi, going balder and uglier - narcissists age very badly. Expect some ridiculous book to support grandiose claims of brilliance in due course.

She will have had a break at worst still in a ppe gown in a designated 'dirty' staff area. ITU staff had more breaks than usual as all staff from theatres etc were redeployed to critical care so staff were tripping over themselves at times. Staff rooms full of donated food etc.

I do have sympathy for ward staff inundated with patients as they weren't given the same star status, ITU staff really did have what they wanted and were prioritised resources wise. I even heard of a birthday cake in the staffroom, imagine that! A 'party' whilst at work.

Christ, this is just so unpleasant. Stop it.

It's that he seeks once again to undermine the very underpinnings of how parliament, scrutiny and democracy work, all to save his own skin.

I agree. He was haranguing, imploring and almost ordering the Committe to exonerate him.
And just would not say he disagreed with his colleagues calling it a kangaroo court. He went as far as to say he didn't like the words, but he wouldn't condemn it... because he needs the innocent of everything verdict first.

I do find that most people who actually seem to think the sun shines out of Johnson (and the Tory's) backside in general on mumsnet are also of the 'watto, posh chum' scene and are married to such blokes or quite the opposite and think Brexit will be the saviour of their area- (it won't) and foreigners are to blame for everything (ignoring the amount of white, British born feral idiots out there) I was however suprised when I heard 3 very posh 'city type' older gents in a cafe here (70s) discussing politics and they all hated how the Tory's have gone and the fraud, contracts for mates, lack of humanity and general lack of forward thinking- so there is hope. ! Everyone of them said they hoped the Tory's got hammered and couldn't understand why 'Joe public' were taken in by them and believed their nonsense.

I don't think the 'sun shines out of his rear'. What i do think is they were all at work and doing what many others in the workplace were doing, eating etc while having meetings. SD if possible, mitigation like testing etc if not. Yesterday's committee was an absolute circus, long rambling questions with snippy 'answer succinctly! ' demands.

As an aside wtf was that around Harman's neck and how on earth are their findings reliable or relevant when she has even tweeted her opinions on Johnson, how is that not a conflict of interest. Imagine if in a proper court the staff were tweeting 'well he's guilty'. It just would not be allowed.

It has been thus so since Covid started. No idea why. Definitely a beef against teachers and NHS workers. But nothing against the partying civil servants strangely enough.

She's actually a very poor number 2 fangirl who denigrated and demeans herself everytime she posts about hospital and teaching staff having pissups in the break room. At least Clav goes to the trouble of posting links to back what they are saying (even if they refuse to engage properly and hear what people are saying), and doesn't just talk shit about things they clearly have no understanding of.
With this poster they seem to have a grasp of truth and reality that is almost as good as Johnsons.

I think the problem is people hate to feel they have been fooled- and Johnson fooled a lot of people with the 'aren't I a nice guy and get Brexit done etc' . I personally feel He is actually a bit of a sad sack , so desparate to be liked and plays the 'watto chaps, your mate Boris here' card - when in actual fact he's just a posh disorganised grifter whose views are based on whatever the clapometer is at the time with regards to voting intention, rather than the economy or public good . He wouldn't last 6 months in private business . None of this would matter if he was just ' bozo' in the city but as PM he always was totally unsuitable but a lot of fooled people don't care, simply because they think his affability wins the Tory's elections.
