Wish I'd have known all these piffley rules were optional. I had a stroke when he had his party, I obviously should have insisted DH came with me in the ambulance and very definitely should not have spent two and a half weeks alone in hospital 😡

That is appalling drivin. Honestly.

mibbelucieachwell · 22/03/2023 15:05

Haha he's attempting to defend himself by saying the rules were such that they were unworkable.

Roussette · 22/03/2023 15:05

Sir Bernard is a star!

BJ is trying to make out that ... because they were working on covid... No.10 and 11 were different to every other workplace.

He keeps banging on about sanitisers, windows open, perspex screens etc.

Sir Bernard asks 'where are the perspex screens in the pictures then?' Lololol

BJ is not good at this.

Wow, imagine listening to this if you have lost someone during the pandemic, or being in hospital or a care home

Oh this is brilliant

Belindabelle · 22/03/2023 15:02

You can tell Johnson doesn’t have a legal background.

LexMitior · 22/03/2023 15:02

Boris's mind picture versus an actual picture

LittleBowSheep · 22/03/2023 15:02

This is turning into the Boris Johnson show.

mibbelucieachwell · 22/03/2023 15:02

He's showing himself up as someone who has no respect for anyone else isn't he. Not a good look.

LexMitior · 22/03/2023 15:01

I don't know but he's finished

Roussette · 22/03/2023 15:01

DuncinToffee · 22/03/2023 14:59

what is this electric force field nonsense!

He's said it twice or three times! He always has a favourite stupid phrase doesn't he

toomuchlaundry · 22/03/2023 15:01

Is drifting into someone's orbit what Matt Hancock did when he was caught groping his mistress

minou123 · 22/03/2023 15:00

How is anyone keeping a straight face

Nimbostratus100 · 22/03/2023 15:00

It was an "urgent meeting" apparently - my mistake, I didn't realise leaving parties came into that category

Roussette · 22/03/2023 15:00

I think he is getting the Committe's backs up. He is being patronising, not answering questions, he is sneery, interrupting, correcting those questioning

DuncinToffee · 22/03/2023 14:59

social distancing was only to be enforced "where possible"

of course, leaving parties were not in any way possible to avoid

L1ttledrummergirl · 22/03/2023 14:59

The people involved in the illegal gatherings saved the country.

That's ok then!

JenniferBooth · 22/03/2023 14:59

Using the Met as defence THE MET is not the gotcha he thinks it is

Roussette · 22/03/2023 14:58

It was NOT necessary or essential to 'be there' to give reassurance when two people left. What bollocks.

LexMitior · 22/03/2023 14:58

He rewrote the question! Well I assume Jenkin will ask it again

Roussette · 22/03/2023 14:57

Arghhhh catching up, phone went.

He isn't getting it his own way now, is he? "I don't accept people weren't making an effort to distance"

He is completely rewriting the rules. And it was only "where possible".

Why were people fined then?

The confines of No.10 made it impossible

L1ttledrummergirl · 22/03/2023 14:57

I didn't know that being in room full of people doing things that didn't involve work was against the rules I made, until the police gave me an fpn which I accepted. Nobody told me. Rishi was with me, he didn't tell me either.

Belindabelle · 22/03/2023 14:56

Harriet Harman is the epitome of professional.
