@Joystir59 , of course I understand that the Tories are shit for everyone and that women and children will particularly suffer under their continued economic mismanagement.
But a bloke in a dress with girly feelings is not a woman and my sex based rights are important to me.
If I lose my sex based rights to anyone who feels like a woman, I'm screwed as well.

Until Corbyn, I'd been a Labour voter since the late 80s. I want to vote Labour again. I really do. But if I can't trust them on basic biology and its implications for women's sex based rights , they can't be trusted to run the country.

I couldn’t have put it better myself. The NHS in Wales is a shambles. I didn’t realise how bad it was until my DH had to use a & E in England and saw how much better it was than in Wales. Labour have ruined Wales and turned me in to a Tory.

No one. If Labour are unable to answer what a man is and are unable to protect women's rights, how can I trust them with other stuff. My local Labour MP is on the wrong side of a local environmental debate - wants to support building on greenbelt.
It's a safe Labour seat so my vote/or lack of is pretty fucking worthless anyway.

I'm a floating voter, although, more likely to vote Tory. At the moment I have an impending sense of doom and said to DH earlier I really hope Liz Trust proves me wrong. He doesn't tend to get angry or frustrated, but just snapped at me that we really don't need her. LibDem have no presence for me and I have my doubts about labour. I joked recently my DD would make a good politician, but she said she'd be too far left for my liking - I think I'd trust her more though.

Lib-dem (previously life-long Labour voter). I'm hoping for a coalition personally.

Liz is lightweight but also, never labour. So god knows. Lib Dems is a waste of a vote.

I can't bring myself to vote Tory given the awfulness of what they've done to us the past few years but I also won't vote for a party who can't admit what a woman is and would willingly continue the erosion and trampling of woman's rights.

Feeling properly fucked whatever I do.

Although I live in an ultra safe Tory area so my vote means nothing anyway in this sense.

I normally vote Lib Dem. Would vote Labour if I thought they had more chance of winning but Labour/Lib Dems normally get a similar vote share and nobody but Tories ever win here anyway.

I’ve been a Tory member and was excited by Kemi, happy enough with Penny, could live with Rishi but can’t believe they’re about to make Liz Truss PM. I’m in a safe Labour seat so it doesn’t really matter. I find Kier a manager not a leader, and some of his loney left are more bonkers as the right of the Tories. If the LDs were at peace with Brexit and shut up about it (and marginalised a few of their odd balls) I’d be all for it. I really have no idea who to vote for, I feel pretty politically homeless. Quite like the Cameron largely detoxified Tories. Do hope Truss goes left having got the votes of the cranks in the party.

The painkillers on prescription is a poor excuse. People get prescribed aspirin, as it’s used as a blood thinner, to prevent further strokes and blood clots. They get prescribed paracetamols because they are in chronic pain, and need daily up to the maximum usage. A prescription doesn’t give you a single box of 16 tablets, but hundreds at a time, something you cannot get over the counter, and may go part of the way to explaining why a box of prescription painkillers cost more - because there are usually around 50, 100 or 200 in a box.

Based on that Labour would get more votes. 39%.

First past the post means that may not translate to a parliament win and turning over the current Tory majority would be unprecedented I think.

But I think after a winter of pain with 10+% inflation in food and energy bills 4x what they were last winter will widen the gap considerably in labours favour.

Depends if Truss is saying what she thinks the Tory faithful want to hear and then plans to flip flop once in power to appease the public and stop rioting and people really struggling. I doubt she's interested enough to do what it would actually take to make life livable for most.

Still not sure and probably won't be until quite near the time, I'm a floating voter, not so keen on Truss and don't like Sunak, Truss at least kept in her post as foreign secretary but Sunak just abandoned ship at a time of cost of living crisis and was obviously plotting to be PM for ages. Sir Keir Starmer doesn't fill me with much hope and I would like to see a change at the top of the LP, probably Yvette Cooper to think about a vote for them

I think I'm becoming a floating voter and find general elections hard.

Our local MP is AMAZING. She does a fantastic job and really cares about the area. I'd vote for her every day BUT she belongs to a party I don't usually vote for. At the last election I really disliked the leader of her party and I just couldn't vote for her if it meant he'd potentially be PM.

Leaders have changed now and I don't feel as strongly against that option... I might be swayed that the leader is ok enough to vote for a great MP.

Lib Dem. Still won't work one of the safest Tory seats in the Country.

Labour here as it's a blue vs red seat. Our local elections changed from blue to red so hopefully a sign of things to come.

Labour next time for me.

But I'd switch to either Tory or Libdem if they could beat the SNP locally.
