Curious to know how many people would still vote Tory if Liz lands the job. I would think she will lose them the next election..?
Maybe Rishi will run as an independent candidate?

How would you vote in the next General Election? And why?

In despair that anyone would vote for funding tax cuts for billionaires by austerity measures and cutting welfare during a cost of living crisis, however committed they are to the definition of a woman. I can only assume these people think they will be relatively unaffected and are utterly selfish twats, happy to see people lose their homes, the NHS be dismantled, schools asking children to bring in blankets because they can't afford to heat their buildings etc etc. Utterly stupid, selfish twats.

Agreed sadly as a ex labour voter ☹️

SNP, more than ever I feel Scotland needs to be independent from Westminster and whilst they’re not perfect by any stretch of the imagination I like a lot of what they have done and by and large I agree with their (centre left) policies.

Hmm I know a lot of women that would disagree with you

Ladywiddio48 · 02/10/2022 14:56

Wait and see who the candidates are in my area.Michael Fabric**t is the current MP,Conservative, have never voted for him and never will.

im surprised by some posters here who are still suggesting Tory now.. when I started this thread I did not see the events of the last ten days unfolding! Surely now you wouldn’t still vote Tory??

I understand the importance of the gender biology recognition & womens rights of course; but I wouldn’t ruin my vote or vote conservative just on that issue!! Tory policy negatively affects women disproportionately, that to me is more important. x

No one, sadly. They are all either stupid, corrupt or captured by gender woo woo. Or a combo. Nope. I'll have to spoil my ballot and that really upsets me.

I would rather vote for next door's cat than the Tories, that's for sure.

Unfortunately, I live in one of the safest Tory seats in the country, so it will be the devil's own job to get the bastards out.

Yucca78 · 02/10/2022 13:58

Labour..despite their stance on women's issues.....so with many reservations but the tories are destroying this country

GoldenPineapple88 · 02/10/2022 13:56

Whoever can accurately define a woman.

I would not trust any party who is happy to deny basic biology with, for example, a health emergency like covid. Would you listen to medical advice from a doctor who thinks women can be men and vice versa? This is so much bigger than just self ID.

I find myself forced to vote Tory as a protest vote againt Lab/lib/green. I cannot spoil my ballot or not vote at all.

I understand people feel strongly about self-ID but I don't think you can vote on a single issue like that at national elections. You can't ignore the environment, climate change, the energy crisis, the NHS, education, the plight of the most vulnerable in society...

Cockerdileteeth · 25/09/2022 19:24

Tactically, for the candidate most likely to beat the Tories, like I normally do. I live in a constituency that would probably return the proverbial donkey in a blue rosette to Parliament, but bigger majorities have fallen lately so you never know.

Pinktoothbrushesarefab · 25/09/2022 19:16

Larry the Cat every time !😼

Circleoflife2057 · 25/09/2022 18:25

Labour
But anything would be better than what we've got now and had the past few years.

Pourmeanotherwine · 25/09/2022 18:17

Labour or green.
Ive never voted Tory and never will.
Not that my vote will help get rid of Liz and co, Im in a constituency that has been Labour since 1935.

LyndaLaHughes · 25/09/2022 18:08

yellowspanner · 22/09/2022 19:21

Tory of course. They know what a woman is.

Do you honestly think the Tories give a shit about women? Wake up. Look at how they actually treat women.
They have utterly destroyed this country due to serving their own interests and that of the privileged few who throw plenty of money their way to keep it that way. I cannot believe anyone would still vote for them after they have shown this week exactly where their priorities lie. They aren't even trying to hide it anymore. The most corrupt, dishonest, self-serving party ever known.
This is a parental forum and as a parent and teacher I can tell you they have utterly destroyed Education and every parent would be utterly horrified if they knew exactly how many teachers have left, want to leave and how we are facing a huge shortage and that school age being forced to use less and less qualified people to plug the gaps. The damage they have done is unbelievable.
Same with the NHS as well as Brexit being an unmitigated disaster- hence why they have stopped the publication of economic forecasts because they are so bad and show exactly what a mess they have made of everything while they are busy lining their pockets and that of their rich mates. Unless you are a selfish rich person or incredibly stupid, then you should be voting for whoever will get them out because anyone who thinks they have a single iota of intention to help ordinary people is delusional.
