But him watching it openly in front of female colleagues - it's not up to her to decide that's OK.

I thought the two female MPs had named and reported him to the Whips Office and the Chief Whip had referred on to the Standards Committee as it couldn't be dealt with 'in house'.

The female MP's have already provided statements.

I would assume he can have the Whip restored - pending investigation.

I know this isn't saying much but by referring himself (and I imagine there was A LOT pressure to do so) it means that the women witnesses weren't left in the position of having to go to the standards committee and name him and worrying about a backlash.
It doesn't diminish what he did but I'm pleased for them.
