I agree OP - he is good at that kind of good moodism and enthusiasm. I’m sure the fact checkers will have a field day but comparing with Keir Starmer’s delivery last week this will make people sit up and listen and maybe even nod heads in agreement.

He cones across as totally out of touch with the reality of how tough many people have it right now. Optimism is only contagious if it’s actually got some basis for feeling like that.

KEir Starmer (thanks @PurpleDaisies) is relevant because the people on the right do not get so wound up by him as people on the left do about Boris.

I'd encourage you to learn about your shadow because it is very relevant .

Speeches are funny things though. The things people remember about speeches are if they made them laugh (the number 1 thing!) and the stories within them. He does do that very well. .

Can't remember anything Kier Starmer said last week. Not one thing. Maybe something about people with cervixes, but that also maybe wasn't in his actual speech.

I think this suggests you didn't actually watch the Starmer speech.

If so, and you can not remember the very moving segment about the parents whose DD was murdered, then you really are quite unusual.

One thing I certainly remember from Starmer’s speech, because it was the truest thing I’ve heard a politician say in a very long time: that Johnson is a trivial man. Spot on.
