Be nice! Be respectful!

There’s a programme on Sky News at 9 on Friday I think.

So were Nigel et al there for Auld Lang Syne?

MrsSnippyPants · 29/01/2020 18:25

I'm going Sally. I'm in London for the WPUK conference so it worked out quite well Grin

notangelinajolie · 29/01/2020 17:55

Meanwhile the Scottish MP's have decided they aren't taking the EU flag down.

notangelinajolie · 29/01/2020 17:49

On the BBC. The deal is done and the EU are singing Auld Lang Syne and crying, some not surprisingly are pissing themselves laughing and the vast majority of them don't know the words does anyone

Coppersulphate · 29/01/2020 17:36

Dusty, seriously, please post it on twitter and the Conservative Home page.

It is absolute genius.
But Dimitri will want to employ you.

SingingLily · 29/01/2020 17:22

I had to go into a red phone booth, pick up phone, press special button, say the pass word then the booth turned into a lift and here I am.

You've been in our village community library? I hope you sent the lift back to the ground floor in case anyone needs to borrow a book. Smile

Welcome, Sallysaved.

Sallysaved · 29/01/2020 16:59

Accidental achievers 😂😂.

However that pic of Bob does not remind me of that poignant if at times hilarious tete a tete on the the Thames. Bob on his huge yacht, shrieking abuse at Fisher men.

I'm really hope those fisherman are not sold out.

Sallysaved · 29/01/2020 16:53

Just checking in, you sneaky prohibition drinkers.

I had to go into a red phone booth, pick up phone, press special button, say the pass word then the booth turned into a lift and here I am.

I only trundled over to brexit yesterday wondering where the threads were for the 31st!!

Hello comrades... Hello hello hello. Is anyone going to parliament square?

I'd like too but not sure about temp etc, logistics... Will there be anything on TV?

mummmy2017 · 29/01/2020 16:41

So funny when he was told to go.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 29/01/2020 16:39

He didn’t start singing 17 million, did he?
If only but he just had 90s to speak lol. His party did give him three cheers before they were chucked out.

AutumnRose1 · 29/01/2020 16:38

The “rejoiners” are weirding me out.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 29/01/2020 16:36

A few speakers after Farage, a Labour MEP expressed his horror at leaving the EU and predicted that by this time next years the UK public opinion would be against Brexit (and therefore want to rejoin). Confused

AutumnRose1 · 29/01/2020 16:35

Walking “Just watched Farage's last words in the European Parliament“

He didn’t start singing 17 million, did he? 😂

The BBC. Some good output but so much to think about funding wise.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 29/01/2020 16:32

Just watched Farage's last words in the European Parliament. The Vice President cut off his mic because he started waving a Union Jack Flag. Mairead McGuinness was right pissed off.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 29/01/2020 16:18

That poster is amazing Dusty. It needs to be immortalised on the Arms wall.

Can anyone explain how to download it as a jpeg?

In other news, Wrong Bailey has finally got enough support to make it to the next round of the leadership race. Blame the firemen.

SingingLily · 29/01/2020 15:45

Oh dear, the BBC is "reshaping for the next five to ten years" by cutting 450 jobs particularly at BBC Radio 5 Live and Newsnight and in managerial graders as part of an £80m savings drive. It recognises it is facing competition from Netflix, Apple, etc, and has to serve its audience in recognition of its public service status and to justify the licence fee.

It's got its sad face on and is speaking in tones of regret.

Nicky and Dmitri, if you're reading this, the BBC is "shroud waving".

But I'm sure you know that WinkGrin

AutumnRose1 · 29/01/2020 15:13

Well Lily you’ve set me off on another thread but I think it’s going to be taken down....

I’m respecting Hoyle right now.

SingingLily · 29/01/2020 14:57

Did anyone catch Sir Lindsay Hoyle's statement in the HoC? It drew cheers from the Conservative side.

He told the Commons he is ‘establishing a new procedure’ modelled on ‘ministerial direction’ which will allow the Clerk of the House to ‘place a statement of his views in the library’ if the Speaker makes a decision which he ‘considers compromises a substantial breach of the standing orders or a departure from long standing conventions’.

Long story short, he is cleaning up Bercow's mess by giving the previously silenced Clerk the right to draw to the attention of the Commons any unconventional or subversive behaviour by a maverick Speaker.

At a wild guess, this is the substance of one of Lord Lisvane's dossier of complaints submitted to the Honours Committee objecting to Mr Bercow's nomination for a peerage, and Sir Lindsay is not waiting. He is putting the remedy in place now.

What a cesspit the last Parliament had become.

Autumn, we should form a choir. People would pay us serious money not to sing.

AutumnRose1 · 29/01/2020 14:52

Lily when I was at school, I was declared to be the only tone deaf kid in class!

Dusty tweet it to Dominic? Or I'm sure he has a website. I think you deserve to make money from it though.

SingingLily · 29/01/2020 14:39

Don't ever apologise, Dusty! It's real art and deserves a wider audience. Pity you couldn't find a way to send it to Dominic Frisby. He'd love it.

Autumn, I'd sing that around the house but - seriously - have you ever heard me sing? It would be a clear breach of the Geneva Convention.

DustyDiamond · 29/01/2020 14:19

I've updated one wee bit of it in case anyone wants to share elsewhere...

I've put #StaticStarmer on #ComatoseKeir as no one outside MN Brexit knows who the fuck the static guy is 😳😂

Soz for posting again....

To the tune of "nothing compares 2 u"

57 hours and 30 mins
And we say “fuck off today”
Celebrate all night and sleep all day
When we wake, you’re far away…..
I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
And EU staff will, EU staff will
Have to fill in forms….
Because nothing improves
Nothing improves
Like Brexit….
