Yes he is. We both would have preferred to remain but I’ve lost patience and don’t believe it is repairable now whilst DH is still holding out hope.

We are a funny split though as it would be Lib Dem or Tory In our house I’m afraid.

Take a look at your constituency, but feel free to vote Lib Dem. Even with a stinking Tory majority, Brexit uncertainty will last for many years. Johnson needs to negotiate a trade deal with the EU, US etc and that is going to take years. He claims that he will not extend the transition beyond 2020 - if that’s correct, then it’s a hard Brexit end 2020.

But a hard Brexit is not an end point, the effects of the economy would be so disastrous - particularly for manufacturing and farming - that he’ll need to negotiate some sort of deal afterwards, but from an incredibly weak position.

Absolutely not after her latest comments about gender identification. I actually quite liked her until I knew that (I was never voting Lib Dem but if I were, that would have lost my vote).

@TheRightHonerable is DH a remainer? I think this is the battle - remainers will split votes between Labour and Lib Dem and Leavers will split between Labour and Tory and nobody will get a decent majority

Depends on the seat. I'm a Tory remainer but in this seat the only chance of unseating the labour MP is by voting Lib Dem. The Lib Dems cannot deliver reversal of Brexit but I think a Corbyn government would be a disaster

We are a remain pocket (not by much though) of a strongly leave county! Surrounded by other strongly leave county’s 😂

In our area Lib Dem simply stand no chance. However DH is set on voting for them- I understand he needs to use his vote as he sees fit but we both know he’s wasting it!

Agree with others, it depends where you live. Google Tactical Voting sites, you put in your postcode and it tells you who it’s best to vote for if you don’t want the Tory’s to win.

The Lib Dems believe that anyone can self identify as a woman and gain access to previously sex segregated spaces such as women’s prisons, women’s refuges, women’s toilets etc. They have asserted that this does not in anyway compromise women’s safety. If you’re cool with a party who is promoting that? Vote Lib Dem. If you think it’s indicative of sloppy thinking and bandwagon jumping for Twitter points? Look elsewhere

It entirely depends where you are.
If you want to put the brakes on a hard Brexit then you need to look at the tactical voting for your area.
We are ex Tory voting remainers in our house.

Depends where you live - check the tactical voting sites and previous election results, especially for the election that caused the original con/LD coalition.

If LD took that seat then, quite possible their candidate will be elected. Also any seats that were heavily remain (And not Scotland/Wales) could go LD.

I hit send too quickly but I meant to point out that it isn't going to help the atmosphere in the country much either, to elect people who sound kind of extremist about it. I'd far rather things were just got on with, calmly.

If you do want to vote to not implement the vote, though, Lib Dems are definitely the way to go: you don't have to be a mathematical genius to work out that Labour would pay very very heavily, numerically speaking, for remaining, whereas the lib dems have nothing to lose

I think any vote against finishing the process the referendum started is quite likely a vote for lengthier political and economic instability. It does not help to prolong this very real period of economic uncertainty and losses caused by dire predictions, investor concerns etc., if we then have to do Brexit on top of that anyway. If MPs also fight against it because we give then the power to do so, maybe we will have to attempt it more than once and over the course of many more years than otherwise necessary.

I am really not convinced more years of this... nonsense will help our economy or save it from anything, it is like ignoring the fact you need you get a new job. The clock keeps on ticking down, the pound keeps on going down, and we haven't even started yet.

They won't get a majority but you could still end up with a LibDem MP representing you, whose votes might make a difference depending on the makeup of Parliament. Also if nobody gets enough MPs for a majority, the LibDems would be able to set their terms for supporting the party that ends up in government.
