I still don't know who to vote for

So i voted labour, the only person who actually lived in the constituency. I dont really want Corbyn as MP but it seems a devil and the deep blue sea.

My DH is voting for conservatives - he's concerned Labour will put up taxes for us, our income is about 30-40k.

This is the kind of view many people have. In reality the Conservatives only look after people who earn upwards of £100k so it's a very misguided opinion in my view.

I stood in the booth and looked at the candidates
Conservatives - nope
Independent - nope (previously asked for their help when they were conservative MP and was unable to get a conversation)
Green Party- where have you been? I do normally vote green, but this was their time, and theyve completely hidden away

I've come across people at work who genuinely don't believe that there are some people in the U.K. who can't afford to buy food. It's people like them who are the problem.

The Tories don’t even believe that there is a need for food banks - they caused the problem but won’t face up to it.

I think if you think that the country has been healthy, united and well off these last ten years, then by all means vote Conservative. If you think that the NHS and schools are doing well, that prisons aren't over-crowded, that social services are able to do a good job with enough money, then vote Conservative.

Another 5 years of this uncaring, self-serving Tory government who’s only priority is pleasing the very rich, selling off our NHS and running the country to the ground, terrifies me.

If you believe that the country has been run brilliantly for the last nine years, that the economy is currently booming, and that BJ has a track record of delivering on his promises, vote Conservative.

Johnson does not have one single trade deal lined up. You really think we will be in a position to bargain? The US will hold all the cards, and we will hold no power in 'negotiating' with the US.

It depends what constituency you're in OP. In my constituency in the last constituency based poll from a couple of weeks ago, the vote was split 45% conservative, 45% lib dem, 9% labour. No one knows which way it's going to go it's that close, but voting for labour where i live is splitting the left vote. Honestly, if you don't want to vote Tory look at the tactical voting sites to see what's best for where you live.

it isn't highly likely there will be a no-deal Brexit at the end of 2020 at all, there is already equivalency in goods and services and it is up to uk negotiators how far they want to diverge from the current status quo.

I just put in my postcode and all it did was list all the other mainstream candidates for my area - all it did give me a list that was excluded the Tories (obv), Ukip, Brexit Party, and the rag bag of loony Family Party and Christian fundamentalist fruitcakes that are standing - hardly helpful. I could do that with my eyes shut

But then, a Tory wouldn't win this seat if they were the only candidate standing.

The note is also a load of rubbish.

The House of Lords voted down tax credit cuts when the coalition got in because they said they were clearly ideological alongside the tax cuts for the rich that were being proposed.

I don't think Corbyn is at all toxic - don't put words in my mouth.

I think we need more cross party engagement to sort out the gigantic mess that is Brexit.

And even John Major, a fairly recent conservative prime minister is telling people not to vote Conservative.

It's funny how Tory voters can never actually set out what the Conservatives are actually doing or what plans they have that are good for the U.K. - all they do is slag off Jeremy Corbyn and call people liars when we point out what amounts to fascist policies from the Tories.

It is highly likely there will be a no deal exit at the end of 2020. Most trade experts have warned that it will be extremely difficult to strike a trade agreement covering the whole of the UK economy in such a short timescale. Comparable deals have taken as long as seven years.

Don’t believe Boris’s comments on this - he’s lied throughout the election campaign, is continuing to do so about checks in NI and his own colleagues are saying it can’t be done in such a short timescale.

It says it all that pro-Labour people like moomin are telling everyone to vote Labour for "a center left coalition". They know Corbyn is toxic to most voters but pretend he cant get in power. Dont listen to any of it, there is a real clear and present danger that Corbyn will get a majority.

As for this crap about public services and no deal Brexit, well everyone said Johnson couldnt get a revised Brexit deal from the EU... he did. And the Tories will invest more in public services as everyone recognises that they need more funding, which is now possible due to the way the economy has been handled over the last 9 years. The difference is the Tories will increase spending in a sustainable manner.

People claiming the last Labour government left budget for public services are deluded... Liam Byrne (the Labour treasury minister at the time) even left a note to the incoming 2010 coalition laughing about how the country was bankrupt...
