If we had a General Election next week who would you vote for and why?

So a lot of you are mainly voting against someone rather than for a party? Not sure that's how it works....

Lib Dem's. I don't like TwAW but am a staunch remainer I cannot vite conservative or brexit (or labour for that matter) and think labours cunning renationalisation plans will screw over the pension funds which are majority shareholders in most nationalised industries causing most pensions to be horribly devalued.

SNP (somewhat reluctantly, I don't agree with all their policies) I want out of this ridiculous shitshow, if only for my kid and the next generation. An endorsement from Trump alone tells you all you need to know, but BJ as PM and a cabinet full of Brexiteers is the nail in the coffin for me.

Labour. I'm not a Corbynite and have concerns about the influence of Momentum, but my local MP is a good Labour MP who values community and public services.

We're now onto unelected PM number 2 of a minority government with a weak mandate.

I don't believe there are many people even in the Conservative party who truly believe that Johnson will do a good job leading the UK. They just want someone in who will make us leave the EU so they can stop losing votes.

I have been Labour all my life but didn’t vote for them last time and won’t this time. Until Corbyn goes and the Unions power is diminished I won’t be voting for them again. Lib Dem cos I would never vote conservative in a million years

Conservative, as I always have done. I might not agree with a lot of what they do but the thought of a Labour government fills me with dread.

Probably Liberal Democrat's. None of the parties represent my values. The Liberal Democrat's seem the least incompetent out of a bad bunch.

I'm genuinely concerned for the future under our new prime minister (I hope I'm proved wrong). I voted Lib Dem in the 1992 general election (the first election I was eligible to vote in) then I switched to Labour. I reluctantly voted Labour in the last election and can't ever see myself voting them again. I don't feel that we live in a democracy anymore. It's sad times for this country.

It’s funny how so many people say Labour are unelectable with Corbyn as leader yet nothing is done to address it. People will though say something in public and something different in the ballot box.

I have a great fear as a two person working family to have Diane Abbott, JC and McDonnell in power. They really hate people like DH and I and will tax and tax us to fund their crackpot ideas. I honestly think if that horror happens we will end up moving abroad.

Max - please don’t use the race card on DA. It’s nothing to do with anything. She is hopeless, comes across as completely out of her depth. Typically some do try and close down conversations using the race card.

Used to vote Tory but never again and couldn’t contemplate labour.

None of them are really giving us many reasons to vote for them tbh. I'm more politically homeless than I've ever been (and I know I'm far from alone) so we'll see whether any of them actually put in enough effort to win me over I suppose

Can't vote Labour until they sort themselves out. So for now, as a remainer, i only have one option. I agree that the TWAW thing is concerning but the alternative is far worse.
