Are we seriously on the verge of electing a hard left socialist as our PM

TM has had a disasterous campaign and I absolutely do not agree with everything in her manifesto BUT JC as PM really!!!

This is the man who had to be told to sing our National Anthem, the Communist Party is supporting Labour in this election and he is known to be an IRA sympathiser. He has not dealt with anti-semytism in the Labour party. Are we really going to have him representing our country? How can we trust him with defence and security?

He might be coming across as everybody's favourite grandfather but don't be fooled he is a hard left socialist and if he and McDonald get into number 10 and 11 they will unleash their project and there will be no going back for years.

Everyday for the last few weeks, I have heard announcement after announcement of giveaways to every section of society. It is not deliverable. To all these people saying they are prepared to pay "a bit more tax" have you actually worked out what you will be paying and bear in mind Rebecca Long-Bailey said yesterday ......."there are initial tax rises in our manifesto" so be prepared for more to come and that will be on top of the Land Valuation Tax that will be payable by everyone and the wealth tax. I am not scaremongering this will be the reality.

To the woman on the Sky news report last night who said she scrimped and saved to pay for private health insurance for her 3 children because that was very important to her but that she would be voting for Labour, I have news for you Labour are putting an extra tax on private health insurance.

JC is going to rally after rally where members of Momentum turn up in large numbers to support him. He is now being put on a pedestal as some saviour to all our problems but we are sleepwalking into a socialist revolution.

I agree that a lot of people are more engaged with this election than 2015. Ed Milliband was so utterly dire, with the tombstone and the UKIPlite immigration stuff.

This election is something different. Corbyn seems to be that rare beast of a politician who genuinely wants the majority of people to have better lives by redistributing wealth.

In theory, it's great. In practice, it just doesn't work. Those people are able to avoid the tax. For example, for someone paying 45% marginal rate now, if the rate goes up to, say 50%, that person takes avoiding action. Therefore, the tax person doesn't even get the 45% marginal rate. Instead, the whole 45% marginal rate is lost. This is a serious loss, as isn't it something like the top 1% pay 27% of income tax?

Also, this feels like the first election we've really had a choice of genuinely different options, not just two parties who are Tory-lite versions of each other. Corbyn Has also done more than any politician i can think of to support anti racist causes over the years and his best friend Michael Rosen is Jewish. He is not an IRA sympathiser, he is a pacifist who realises that at some point you have to stop the cycle of violence by talking to those with whom you disagree.

Except they will increase taxes for all, whereas Corbyn wants to increase them for the top 5% of earners only, who can well afford to shoulder the burden - what's wrong with that. Public services need more funding, it has to
come from somewhere. Also the Labour manifesto would be a very average centre document in most Scandinavian countries which are regularly voted to be the happiest most equal societies. It's only the right wing, billionaire owned press to whom Corbyn represents the biggest threat who would have you believe it far left.

.85% for property owners - this is the land value tax figure mentioned. Tory scaremongering based all figures on 3%! Land value is about 50/60% of the house price.

And you may well be one of the few honest 'I just rejoined' posters, no reason for me to disbelieve that at all
