Genuine question for Tory voters

I honestly don't think it matters as much for the incumbent prime minister as it does for the leader of the opposition - people have seen him/her do the job for better or worse, the opposition have to convince that they are capable of doing it as well or better (which means basic competency as well as the manifesto). If a member of government has a bad interview I think it is less damaging overall than if a member of the opposition does

not a Tory voter but the debates have no impact on how I vote. They are ridiculous & contribute nothing to sensible discussion. One to one interview are more enlightening.

I'm not a Tory voter, but I wouldn't hold this against May. I don't think that not being good at debating necessarily makes you a bad leader. After all David Cameron was good at this kind of thing but a terrible leader! (IMO)

I'm unusual in being normally a Labour voter but wavering towards Tories this time as:
a) I don't believe the Labour manifesto is deliverable
b) There is such a vast amount of inaccurate stuff on social media pushing for the Labour Party which I think may sway people who don't think about it that it is pushing me the other way (e.g. Today's is from OccupyLondon saying "Boris Johnson criticised Corbyn for meeting Martin McGuinness, here's a picture of BJ with MM", totally ignoring the fact that the picture was after the peace process when MM was an elected politician where the other was before it when he was widely acknowledged as a terrorist)
c) I don't think Labour can get as good a Brexit deal (Guy Verhofstadt, one of the lead EU negotiators, has made it clear they would prefer a Labour victory because they thionk that too)

No, but I'm really not a fan of the debates, especially the large scale ones. They seem to just be 7 people shouting over each other. Head to head debates I can see a point to but larger ones, no. Anyway as labour MPs seem to like to tell us, you are voting for a party not the leader!

Have the people still voting Tory and saying they are scared of the Labour Party being in power read the manifestos? The Labour Party's is so much more sensibly costed and transparent. The Tory party's is incredibly vague - and has already been backtracked upon! It baffles me that anyone can think May is a safe pair of hands, when she just seems so incompetent when she appears on TV (and this is the REAL reason why she didn't attend the debates, of course).

That wouldn't change my mind at all. However my local MP / candidate is rumoured to be pro fox hunting. I'll ask at a hustings next week and if it's true then he'd never get my vote again.

Haven't changed my mind. Really can't warm to TM but I'm voting for a party, not a president. I think TM will be gone during the next term anyway.

I don't think the non attendance of a TV debate means that much considering the alternative is Corbyn and his team. I don't think Labour can pay for all the things they offered with a small increase in taxation. What they will do when they discover that I do not know.

The leaders appearance on non-appearance on tv debates makes no difference either way on my vote.

No, I haven't. Labour's economic plans are entirely unrealistic. I can understand why people are attracted by free money - but would hope that they would realise that the HUGE increase in tax burden would not fall on a few anonymous rich people, but would affect everyone in the economy whether through the reductions in jobs, increase in prices etc.

I have to say that I am scared that there will be many people who simply don't understand the interaction though.

That said I suspect that there is the opportunity for some people to make a LOT of money in the next week or two if they can guess on the market and currency fluctuations correctly.

No not at all, still voting Conservative, mind you I would vote for just about anyone other than Corbyn.
