All the Labour support seems to be 'stop the torques', with no focus on what the workable plan is after that.

I'm wishing with all my heart that Labour can do it. I am a huge supporter of Jeremy Corbyn and the party's mainfesto as a whole.

I genuinely cannot understand why people would want TM as prime minister one second longer. Every thing she has spouted since taking up the position has reeked of antiquated classist views.

Hard to see Corbyn overcoming a 9 point deficit, but it's no longer impossible - May is looking weak and incompetent, and if enough young people could be persuaded to turn out and vote, Labour could do it.

I don't expect this to happen, but May is so useless and her manifesto so poor (nothing is properly costed) that she deserves to lose.

I have no time for , but pragmatically, given a choice between a brexit negotiated by David Davis and one negotiated by Keir Starmer, I know which one I would prefer. The tories are no longer the party of business.

True. Passion seems to be seen as 'ranting'. It's ok if you're ranting passionate about animal protection (other than foxes!), but if you're passionate ranting about the future of the NHS, it's a totally different ballgame.

Absolutely, Merry - and I love how showing passion and engagement with politics is always written off as "ranting". Maybe the left-wing fervour isn't so much because they're convinced they're right, but more that they feel deeply that the current situation is so very wrong. Why should anyone smile and nod and live and let live when they feel as though the state of the world is totally against their own ideals?
