Oct 20th 2 am UK time.

Last chance for the Establishment to stop the Trump surge in the polls.
World leaders will be watching, Establishments will be tuning in on the edge of their seats in trepidation.

People will be laughing, diving into the popcorn and knocking back the alcohol.

Round 3. Rock'n'roll.

Angry Republicans keep voting for "trickle-down" candidates who slash taxes for the rich, then wonder why their own lives don't improve.

Trump's policies are more tax cuts for the wealthy and more deregulation of business
i.e. continue to make the rich richer and screw the rest
Plus he might tantrum any time and launch some nukes.

He deflects his voters' anger away from the people who actually shipped their jobs overseas, by stoking up anger toward the "other:"
African Americans, Latinos, Muslims, feminists, gays.

Clinton is sleazy, but Trump is spouting hate and he has told us what he really is like, e.g:
" I tell my friends to be rougher with their wives"

Jill Stein, the Green Party candidate, is getting better and better

"Name one paper based newspaper that is supporting the orange one
...
Riddle me that"

That proves that he is the anti-establishment candidate. They are all agin him, including George H W Bush who is voting for Hillary. It is only 40 odd percent of voters who are with him. The entire Establishment and media and world leaders are with Hillary.

Oh my goodness - handbags

Showmeagain · 16/10/2016 21:54

WW thanks for the invite. Let me know when the general informed argument is in process. Cheers

Showmeagain · 16/10/2016 21:51

Name one paper based newspaper that is supporting the orange one

It is a very unusual year that not ONE has endorsed him. For many very republican media who have endorsed Hillary it's like the daily fail supporting Corbyn.

Riddle me that

Show me it's been quite good conversations we're having, you should join in

Sometimes there are japes

'Reddit as a source LMFAO'

I have heard there is some humour on there. I never realised it was ROFL stuff.

Given that for three threads it's been said by claig and others that the establishment mainstream media are neglecting their journalistic remit in favour of Clinton with a very high bias - has it really just occurred to you that the source won't be Wapo?

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 16/10/2016 21:46

I am fairly positive that clinton meant competent businessmen

WinchesterWoman · 16/10/2016 21:44

Clinton called for more businesspeople to run. She said they couldn't be bought.

Reddit as a source LMFAO

Showmeagain · 16/10/2016 21:42

But tis ok as you look for tupution rubbish on ter interweb. You will find what ever truth you look for. Is like the holy grail of crap

ZuleikaDobson · 16/10/2016 21:40

Southall, it's curious that you assume that businessmen are automatically competent - the bankruptcy courts are full of people who demonstrate that that is not the case. Trump himself is a classic example, and in his case the employees didn't all get to keep their jobs, investors lost their money, and creditors were left unpaid to the tune of millions of pounds. Do you really want someone with that track record in charge of the economy?

Showmeagain · 16/10/2016 21:37

And the source of said article? Is there explaination that the trump foundation made NO donations to 9/11 etc etc

Guessing your sources are not Wapo etc. Trump has not been endorsed by any major newspaper. That includes all big notable state papers. In fact they have all stated he is not fit to lead

Fgs there are media outlets in the red republicans south that have endorsed Clinton. The first time in some for 80 plus years they have even blinked at a dem

But you must be right about the trump. Right. Nope. Even Utah has turned against him. Check out Ewan.

WinchesterWoman · 16/10/2016 21:31

I was just looking at that. They say it's because they don't pass money through the foundation in grants. They do the work themselves. So if they did want to misappropriate it, that would be easier because of the way it's set up. But I think that evidence would be harder to find.

fourmummy · 16/10/2016 21:25

This is from the earlier article:

According to a review of IRS documents by The Federalist, between 2009-12 the Clinton Foundation raised over $500 million in total. A mere 15% of that went towards programmatic grants. The other $425 million went to travel expenses, employee salaries and benefits, and “other expenses.” In 2013, the Clinton Foundation allocated only 6% of its revenues to direct charitable aid.

WinchesterWoman · 16/10/2016 21:04

Ok I don't know this so shoot me down. Does some of that money get spent on Clinton campaigning.

WinchesterWoman · 16/10/2016 21:03

It's because it symbolises hatred and enmity towards everyone, not just a particular group. That takes tolerance for the intolerant just a leeetle too far.

Lweji · 16/10/2016 21:03

Southallgirl

Does Trump strike you as any different?

Assuming that money is what Hillary is about. Because the donations to the foundation don't go to her. Are employed in actual charity.
Unlike Trump's that are often used to pay back to his own companies.
If there's anything to accuse her of in that respect, it would be regarding the speech fees, not the Foundation.
