Yes, plenty of scary Tea Party types out there. The Republicans are in big trouble. The voters are far more moderate than the candidates their core voters are crazy for. Bush was the most moderate in the field.

So were Rubio and Cruz who rode to power on the populist Tea Part wave, but everybody knows they are Establishment through and through which is why Trump has not received Cruz's endorsement and why the Establishment backed them with millions of dollars in its failed attempt to stop the Trump Train.

Trump is different to the lot of them, which is why he is so popular.

I think that is a bit unfair. I do like the odd slogan, but I answer on Pence, why he is not that important etc etc, and that Trump is really a liberal

Pence is a Tea Party man, who would end up producing a lot of policy once Trump collapsed, and possibly end up President after an impeachment.

Roe v Wade isn't for Congress. It's for the Supreme Court. So the President's power to appoint to the Supreme Court is what matters. Plenty of support for pro-life in the U.S. Plenty of state law already exists to make it virtually impossible to get a legal abortion in parts of the country.

Usually the VP hs little power, it is a ceremonial role, which is why Establishment Kasich was not really interested in the role if Trump had offered it to him. It only becomes important if something happens to Trump, in which case Pence will take over. Pence is Establishment, so if that happens, it will be a continuation of Establishment policies and an end to the Trump revolution.

See my explanation above, Claig. Because the argument never moves on. You say the same generalities over and over without particularly engaging in the questions people ask or points they make, and you don't seem to read links posted.

I don't think he'd ACTUALLY turn over Roe v Wade. It's a threat/promise to get the birthers on board. Surely he'd be blocked if he put that through Congress anyway?

Sorry to cause anxiety but yes, Trump has pledged to appoint to the Supreme Court with a view to overturning RvW. Pence has reaffirmed this in the last week.
