Trump has teased there will be a huge announcement at his rally in Ames, Iowa tonight. Special guest will be there.

Elites across the world are in panic, luvvies are having a lie down, Oxbridge is tuned in, PPES are petrified.

Will Palin endorse Trump? Is it game over for the Establishment?

No one knows. Elites are in meltdown and Trump fans are already doing the hokey-cokey.

But Claig, as you've pointed out, ISIS is a creation of the CIA (as was al-Qaeda).

Lweji · 20/01/2016 23:17

But why is it that mentioning his racism is good if it's by you, but mentioning it by his critics is bad?

Surely, his racism is a topic that should be addressed by supporters and opponents. You can't use it to proclaim how great he is and then shut people who accuse him of being racist.

And I use racism here as an example. It could be any of his other isms.

claig · 20/01/2016 23:10

'He did have Palin calling for their 'Warriors' to steam into the middle east last night.'

Yes to sort Isis out. These London DJ Jihadis who could be wiped out within weeks with the correct Commander in Chief as politically incorret Sarah Palin dared to say.

claig · 20/01/2016 23:08

'So, is it a good thing that he "dares to be politically correct", and to emphasise that, or a bad thing that keeps being brought up by the establishment?'

It is a very good thing because of what it signifies. Trump has flipped the finger to the Establishment. He has said I will say what I like and the American Republican people support me. Puppets may try to ban him but that will only increase the American people's anger and they will start stumping for Trump just like the former registered Democrats, the Stump for Trump sisters, have done after they "ditched and switched".

By defying the Establishment's political correctness code of conduct, by breaking their Queensbury rules and taking the gloves off, he has signalled to the American people that I am going to take them on and beat them for you. I will bring your jobs back and build that wall and end those wars.

All the Establishment and their media worldwide can do is to call Trump a joke, a clown and a racist and try to ban him. But that cuts no ice with the American people.

Trump has said "the emperor has no clothes", he has said he is not politically correct and the American people are laughing. Now politically incorrect Sarah Palin has joined him. Together they are te elite's worst nightmare.

What it means is that Trump is serious and is going all the way and intends to take them down. He has mocked Bush and practically finished him off. He has brought Bill up and told Hillary to watch out if she tries to play any identity politics cards because he will tell the American public the full truth.

That means he is unstoppable and the Establishment are in meltdown.

Focusing on racism and identity politics

Yeah, which has pretty much always ended up sucking for those of us that are 'mixed'. We bear the brunt of the inevitable backlash but gain few of the benefits.

So, is it a good thing that he "dares to be politically correct", and to emphasise that, or a bad thing that keeps being brought up by the establishment?

Surely it can't be both?

claig · 20/01/2016 22:55

Focusing on racism and identity politics is the only trick left in the Establishment's pocket. It is a tried and tested technique they use against any opposition to the EU e.g Farage.

They will try it against Trump but he is far more fearless than Farage and has defeated all of their tricks so far. The more the Establishment and its media attack him, the more the masses vote for Trump.

The Stump for Trump sisters are no mugs as can be seen in their videos and nor are the American people. Trump is going to win.

Seymour Hersh released an article in January that most of the establishment media ignored. It is not about Trump, but about foreign policy in Syria. I haven't read it, just seen the headline and some discussion of it.

I think Trump is part of an anti-war faction, a rebuilding America faction.

"Barack Obama’s repeated insistence that Bashar al-Assad must leave office – and that there are ‘moderate’ rebel groups in Syria capable of defeating him – has in recent years provoked quiet dissent, and even overt opposition, among some of the most senior officers on the Pentagon’s Joint Staff. Their criticism has focused on what they see as the administration’s fixation on Assad’s primary ally, Vladimir Putin. In their view, Obama is captive to Cold War thinking about Russia and China, and hasn’t adjusted his stance on Syria to the fact both countries share Washington’s anxiety about the spread of terrorism in and beyond Syria; like Washington, they believe that Islamic State must be stopped.

The military’s resistance dates back to the summer of 2013, when a highly classified assessment, put together by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, then led by General Martin Dempsey, forecast that the fall of the Assad regime would lead to chaos and, potentially, to Syria’s takeover by jihadi extremists, much as was then happening in Libya. A former senior adviser to the Joint Chiefs told me that the document was an ‘all-source’ appraisal, drawing on information from signals, satellite and human intelligence, and took a dim view of the Obama administration’s insistence on continuing to finance and arm the so-called moderate rebel groups. By then, the CIA had been conspiring for more than a year with allies in the UK, Saudi Arabia and Qatar to ship guns and goods – to be used for the overthrow of Assad – from Libya, via Turkey, into Syria. The new intelligence estimate singled out Turkey as a major impediment to Obama’s Syria policy. The document showed, the adviser said, ‘that what was started as a covert US programme to arm and support the moderate rebels fighting Assad had been co-opted by Turkey, and had morphed into an across-the-board technical, arms and logistical programme for all of the opposition, including Jabhat al-Nusra and Islamic State. The so-called moderates had evaporated and the Free Syrian Army was a rump group stationed at an airbase in Turkey.’ The assessment was bleak: there was no viable ‘moderate’ opposition to Assad, and the US was arming extremists."

'In the short term he'd piss off anyone who's Republican or Democrat in a position of power. They will work together to shut him down.
Long term if he does get things done it'll not be pretty.'

You are absolutely right, but I think it will happen because America is in a bad way and the whole world is. Trump has sent the message around the world that he has no time for political correctness and he will be tough. Puppets and establishments around the world are in panic. They know this is for real. I don't know how Trump will do it but I suspect him and his team know how they will do it.

mimi says

"They're always all in on it .... together."

i don't think they are. I think Trump is a different faction to the Wall Street Establishment faction. I think Trump must have powerful backers or he couldn't challenge the entire Republican elite. I think the reaon we are seeing this huge challenge isdue to the real seriousness of the economic situation and the potential wars that some factions want to escape the problems.

Unless he's taking lessons from Putin...

DoctorTwo · 20/01/2016 22:30

Donald J Trumpington-Loudly was bailed out by the same banks who are 'the elite/establishment'. His workforce were not. He's every bit as part of the 'establishment' as anyone who inherited a fortune.

In fact, he's an even bigger arse than Nigel 'UK' Garage*. And that's saying something.

*Yeah, I know, weak joke. And it's pronounced garridge.

Lweji · 20/01/2016 22:30

Yes, he can't do much without Congress or Senate back up.

The President is only basically in charge of foreign policy.

Normally, presidents work with their own party in those bodies. If Trump manages to alienate his own party (the elite, the establishment), not sure how he can accomplish any of his promises.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 20/01/2016 22:27

But I still don't see how he can do anything radical with the legislature throttling him. Don't get me wrong, that's a relief. But if he's saying day 1, trade tariffs, cut off non US big business, pull troops out, reduce gun control etc it is a huge upheaval. I
N the short term he'd piss off anyone who's Republican or Democrat in a position of power. They will work together to shut him down.
Long term if he does get things done it'll not be pretty.

tilder · 20/01/2016 22:22

It's not listening to the bbc that makes me think Trump is racist. It's, er, listening to Trump that makes me think he is racist.

And what Lweji said.

Lweji · 20/01/2016 22:08

Missed quite a bit already, but "politically incorrect" means being a bigot, sexist, racist, disablist, and so on.

"dares to be politically incorrect" is just an euphemism for being a twat.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 20/01/2016 21:33

We are in total agreement over Jeb Bush.

We are indeed.

It's just a shame that Trump is neither a business genius, nor an experienced politician, nor an easy-going leader of men, nor a man who makes friends easily, nor a burning visionary for the whole of humanity, because otherwise he'd look quite appealing wouldn't he.

mimishimmi · 20/01/2016 21:31

You are right about some people wanting to start a third world war. They are cynical bastards who use a past genocide (which some of them funded!!) as an excuse to inflict more of it. If Trump really wants to end this, he has to call them out on their actions (arming, funding and training the people they want to send us to fight and their involvement in bringing about 'new Pearl Harbour' situations). This would mean war crime trials like Nuremburg. Do I think it's going to happen? No

Just so sick of all of them. They're always all in on it .... together.... and the rest of us have lost our 'tribes' , friends, businesses due to it. There's noone left except them.

originalmavis · 20/01/2016 21:24

Just how did he make his zillions? (Licks end of pencil in order to take notes...)

claig · 20/01/2016 21:16

Trump is not a business genius, but he is better at business and creating employment than the "career politicians".

'but I know a tit when I see one'

We are in total agreement over Jeb Bush.

The reason Trump has entrered the race is Trump.

But taking out huge loans for what is basically a service industry, in an area of uncertain future regulation, without insuring against stock market changes or interest rates, is not the hallmark of a business genius.

I don't listen to the BBC. I have no telly. I'm basically the Cumbrian version of a backwoodsman/woman but I know a tit when I see one.

claig · 20/01/2016 21:03

'It certainly takes some kind of special to go bust running a casino. '

They hadn't been operating for too long and I think New Jersey changed some things which meant that they attracted less business. Can't remember the details. Huge loans to build big buildings like that and the loans have to be repaid and stock market crashes and higher interest rates can change everything overnight.

'Seems to be ticking along ok though, surely?'

You've been listening too much to the BBC and the political class. Stock markets are crashing, BBC Newsnight reported on the slowdown in shipping across the Atlantic etc. We only get glimpses of what is really going on behind the scenes.

Trump is saying that it is a big bubble and he hopes it pops before he becomes President. Trump will know things that none of us know. The reason Trump has entrered the race and gone through all the insults etc is to save America.

look at his policy for the Middle East and how he intends to avoid war and how he tweeted:

"Dopey Prince @Alwaleed_Talal wants to control our U.S. politicians with daddy’s money. Can’t do it when I get elected. #Trump2016"

Ahhh, Claig, I'm a little in love Blush.

Generally, when I'm trying to avoid a fight with my manager, I call him a dopey twat. Calms the waters every time. #unemployedandbroke

AthelstaneTheUnready · 20/01/2016 20:56

It certainly takes some kind of special to go bust running a casino.

If only the US had lost hope, abandoned its middle class, destroyed all the jobs/oursourced all the jobs, broken itself, lost itself, and buried its constitution... that would sound a valid motivation. Seems to be ticking along ok though, surely?

Traffic, are you Claig's Mr. Hyde?

claig · 20/01/2016 20:53

TrafficJunkie, you have been listening too much to the BBC.

The world is in a very dangerous situation. The Middle East wars are being used by some factions to try to inflame the entire region and suck the whole world into war. Trump says that Hillary was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and yet she calls him "dangerous".

Rather than listening to BBC distractions about how racist etc Trump is, look at his policy for the Middle East and how he intends to avoid war and how he tweeted

"Dopey Prince @Alwaleed_Talal wants to control our U.S. politicians with daddy’s money. Can’t do it when I get elected. #Trump2016"

It is a very serious situation and a very serious election, and the only trick the Establishment and their media have is to fool the people by calling Trump racist.
