Who got your vote & will it count?

UKIP got mine, but I'm in an region with a safe Tory seat.

well every vote counts towards the total turnout. If you mean are parliamentary seats decided by ONE vote. Never in my experience.
But I did know of a council seat having a one vote majority.

Best to see ourselves as being one vote in thousands or even millions.

There are other ways of having political influence. See todays papers.

Lib Dem. Made no difference at all. Very safe Tory seat. Labour never even stand in the local elections and think they've done well in the GE if they save their deposit.

Voted Labour in highly fought over marginal seat. Had been Labour for decades until 2010 when it went to the Conservatives by less than 2%. On Friday morning we got a Labour MP back.

Voted labour in a seat that looks like the snp might steal it. I did so with a heavy heart though as they wouldn't be where my politics lie, but without pr there's no point in throwing a vote away on a party who won't win. Nearly wrote none of the above but thought that would be counterproductive

Conservative in a very highly regarded cabinet minister's seat. Over 50% of votes should go to him.

I think it is far more complicated this time. With our voting system there is a good chance of the party with the most seats not being the party with the most votes so if it happens that the LibDems are once again in a position to decide they may feel they could best justify supporting the party with the most votes, even if they don't have the most seats.

Will be voting Green and will make not a jot of difference as am in a very safe Tory seat. But it was easier in a way because at least I can just vote the way my conscience dictates.

Voted Tory to ensure the MP on place here gets in again as they have done some good work. Likely a safe seat but every vote still counts.

Lib Dem here too. Best balance of rationality and compassion I could find (you can't have one without the other and make it work long term). I doubt they'll get in, but if you don't vote for something you believe in, you're voting for something you don't. Also signed a petition online for looking at PR again.

Will vote Lib Dem - going when DS is home so he can come with me. My vote won't count because it's a very safe Labour seat.

Very marginal seat here - I voted for the lady in red. It was historically a safe Labour seat, but the boundaries changed hugely before the last GE and the Labour MP lost by less than 2%. I'm hoping to get a new one this time.

Lib Dem, in a Con/Lab marginal and normally vote Conservative but even though my vote is 'wasted' I just couldn't do it this time as I don't rate our Candidate.

I voted Green because I'm a Green supporter and standing for the local elections in my ward. I kind of feel that no vote is a wasted one and that, if you wish, you should vote for what you believe in (rather than over-much tactically) Do feel that overall vote share will be reported on too and have some influence.

It is very close here though (between Con and Labour) - and I am hoping that Ed will be the new prime-minister tomorrow. Surely time for a change - Ed and Labour party have grown on me during the election campaign too

So it wasn't a completely easy vote but felt the right one on balance. As some kind of compromise dh is voting Labour (I think) - so they get one vote from our household. Voting for me for the locals though - or he better had!

Voted labour in previously safe seat but snp are everywhere! Hope others do the same as find the whole snp outlook very parochial although I do think NS is a very 'good' politician.
