Do you think the Tories will get a majority in 2015?

LibDems will lose votes and seats as leftie metropolitan types vote Labour in disgust at the sellout of joining a coalition with the Tories after the last election.

Traditional working class Labour voters and traditional blue rinse older Tory voters will choose to vote UKIP in protest over Europe and immigration.

UKIP may win a few seats but not many.

All in all a recipe for a hung Parliament and a lot of horse trading and a very weak and ineffectual minority Government.

This is looking a lot more like the 1970s with Lib-Lab pacts and narrow majorities and pandering to pressure groups to scrape a few votes and no one daring to make tough policy decisions.

It will end in a financial and economic meltdown and chaotic period while a strong charismatic leader like Boris Johnson comes forward.

Farage is also charismatic but Boris Johnson could steal his votes very easily by talking to the Tory right and promising an EU referendum.

and Maria Miller should stay, to be a source of embarassment to the Tories into the next election and remind everyone what a poor judge of situations Cameron is (remember his H of Comm now is in the dock?).

The Tories have been gagging to sell off the publically owned assets to their friends for decades - and IF they ever get another chance we will be living with the worst aspects of the US of A.

btw, people wouldn't be voting for Ed Milliband - they'd be voting for a fairer society.

I actually think Labour will lose with Mr Bean in charge, I just cannot take him seriously and nor can a lot of people.
I expect the conservatives will keep reminding everyone of what he did to his brother as the election approaches. As in "can you trust a man who would do this to his brother?"

I reckon he will have to step down if they do lose and his brother will come back, become leader and win it next time round.

I agree with hotcrosshunny, they are all shite. For the first time in my voting years, I really cant choose who to vote for.

I think the Labour Party of today is very different to the last Labour government - more restrained, accepting of previous mistakes. But they have to make Joe Public realise that. While New Labour as a concept is reviled now, at the time it was a useful tool to distinguish Labour in the 90s from the union-controlled Labour of the 70s/80s; the current Labour party need some sort of equivalent rebranding.

Why are we stuck choosing between these imbeciles in the first place. People should be asking where is the party that actually speaks for any citizens who exist in this country? I will vote once there is a party worthy of voting for.

Way back when I was at uni (1998 ish), a politics lecturer told us that we'd enter a period of collation in the early 2010's and it would remain for around 15 years. I can't see either Labour or Conservative getting a majority - remember most UKIP voters are former Tories so they'll lose there. And people who switch from Lib Dem will swing to Labour, not Conservative.

I think the tories will get in. There was a comedian on tv the other night, i can't remember his name but he knew David Cameron from Uni. He said "everyone hated the tories in the 80s; the teachers, the miners, the civil servants, everyone hated them...but they still got re-elected and then re-elected again". Tory bashing is a public sport but voting is held in private.
