Are Europeans pedophiles?

In Europe the legal age for sex is really low - like 14 in Germany, Portugal, Italy and Austria. In Spain its 13!!!1 This means a 40 year old man can legally have sex with a 14 year old as long as it is consensual (without coercion etc).

Does this mean the Europeans are pedophiles? Does it mean it's legal to be a pedophile in Europe?

What was the age of consent nine months BC? In keeping with Jewish custom at the time, she'd have been around 12, and Jesus was born around a year later.

i suspect the OP is

a) american
b) aged 14 - thus the obsession with 14 year olds having sex
c) a god fearing sort who is not yet up to speed on the underage sex/church/child abuse scandals of the last 50 years or so.

i was 15 when i met my husband of 21 years. we have 2 children and have therefore only ever had sex twice to procreate and all that.....i mean what would jesus do?
