Fed up of the cuts? Fed up of the mislead bigotry? This is your sanctuary. Unwind. Vent. Pop over to the frothers thread if you feel like getting organised and doing some proactive stuff or just chill out with a cup of builders tea in a polystyrene cup.

Welcome.

KatieMiddleton · 25/01/2012 19:44

Right, I'm going to pop a log on the brazier and turn on the generator for the van. What are you all having?

TeWihara · 25/01/2012 16:27

Thanks for the vibes

TeWihara · 25/01/2012 16:27

I am so shocked.

They live quite far away so feeling pretty useless, need to find their address and send something.

He is pretty young and very fit and healthy so hopefully he will pull through.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 25/01/2012 16:26

Sorry to hear about your friend's DH Te - am sending all strong vibes.

Happy mehndi times Val! And it lasts so well doesn't it? I was offered to have it done on my feet at that time, but there is no way I could sit still, too ticklish Grin

JaneMare · 25/01/2012 16:25

shit, hope he's ok Te

ShirleyForAllSeasons · 25/01/2012 16:22

MmeLindor. · 25/01/2012 16:20

Oh, Te. Sorry to hear about your friend's DH. Hope he pulls through.

ValarMorghulis · 25/01/2012 16:20

Oh that is awful news about your friend TE.

I have henna mehndis quite a lot. Good friends with a lovely lady that does them for weddings etc so when she comes over for coffee she does them for me. She practices new designs...not that she needs to practice. She is awesome.

great thread Hully

Hullygully · 25/01/2012 16:13

Oh Te, fingers crossed and vibes sent

Hullygully · 25/01/2012 16:13

Oh sweet - and cunning sainsbury's such good publicity for them...

JaneMare · 25/01/2012 16:13

she is weird...Louise Mensch i mean, not the little girl wrote to sainsbugs.

tweets between her and some of her constituents are priceless Grin

TeWihara · 25/01/2012 16:12

Holy crap, just found out my friend's husband has been in a coma for 2 days. He was in a car accident.

MmeLindor. · 25/01/2012 16:07

Hully
just been giggling over that.

Here is some light relief. I found this terribly cute today.

Sainsbury letter

Bet she is a MNetter - that would be soooo MNetty to send a letter by your DD to Sainsburys.

Hullygully · 25/01/2012 16:04

She's really weird.

ShirleyForAllSeasons · 25/01/2012 15:58

lOUISE mENSCH was in The Guardian banging on about being a feminist - I could only read about 4 sentences before I wanted to do some gouging.

Hullygully · 25/01/2012 15:56

I have started a lovely thread for the bashers.

MmeLindor. · 25/01/2012 15:54

Oh, poor you, Hunty.

I am having to stay off the benefit threads for an afternoon. I am doing the ironing and watching West Wing.

President Bartlet would wipe the floor with IgglePiggle. And can you imagine CJ against Louise Mensch.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 25/01/2012 14:08

never too old for henna - and I love biker boots!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 25/01/2012 14:05

Not at all Peachy Grin I had mehndi done about two years ago, palms and backs of my hands, it was so intricate, gorgeoise, they used a sort of piping bag for the henna, such a work of art. Never too old! Nor for pink hair Grin

Hunty my lovely, hug for you x

Peachy · 25/01/2012 12:43

Is it abd that I am far from 14 and did a henna tattoo? In fairness I was 26 and had it fone at Selfridges though.... these days biker boots are about my limit, even the pink hair went in 2008 when I turned 35.

There was DV thread years ago here where a poster was encouraging smeone to stay put becuase she didn;t think HER taxes should help someone escape, woman facing extreme DV had kids at risk. I called tax-lady on it and got accused of being mean to pick on an opinion.

For the love of all things Waitrose- argggghh.

Hunty Hugs love XXXXXXXXX
