This is the 3rd thread in a series.

It is for people who are horrified, frustrated and downright sad at the erosion of human rights with respect to how this country is being run, just now and in the recent past

it is apolitical in nature, but of course due to many recent initiatives by the recent govt, there will be rants against our current "leaders"

please join in

I shall post the link to the old threads, our "Too Many Cuts #Frothers" blog that is attracting a lot of widespread attention and a little bit of what we are about in a moment

TeWi, didn't get original ref to libraries post, but depending on the circumstances, maybe your MIL could do the post before she leaves (what can they do, sack her?!).

Depends what she's already signed and how up she is for something that requires a public interest defence (can you tell I've been watching the Leveson Inquiry - former ICO officer has just handed over disk of material from his former workplace saying he knew it was a Section 59 offence (?) but he felt very secure about it. From the profound gratitude expressed by Leveson I'd guess he was right...)

FontSnob · 08/12/2011 18:43

Evening frothers. Sorry Kate, haven't had a chance to make a new background for everything yet. I will though I promise.

Am in email contact with guest blogger, will let you know when she sends in her post. Am off to catch up on the blog and will report back from the statcounter results too. Let me know if anyone wants the log in details.

You are all fantastic. Lubey and Hunty, hope you're okay x

TeWiharaMeriKirihimete · 08/12/2011 18:26

Just popping in to say that the mobile version looks great too - thanks for all the lovely responses to my post Blush.

MIL might not be able to do the libraries post depends on what she has to sign when she leaves... Should know this month though.

Tianc · 08/12/2011 18:16

Right, I'm on this lubey. Will report back shortly.

MmeLindor. · 08/12/2011 18:12

Sorry for not being much help today. I am officially in Lurgy-town and finding it hard to concentrate on anything more taxing than fluffy kitten websites.

Must shake off this bloody cold.

I am sure that they make is so confusing so that people do not cotton on till it is too late.

I think I've done the blog back ground the same as the Twitter page. Let me know if you get when you log on instead of the page.

Right have dumped DD in front of Something Special DVD.

I have linked the blog to a private forum I am a member of. Mostly teachers but all mums or TTC. I have asked them to read and if they want to contribute to PM me there and we'll sort them out (a couple are prolific bloggers themselves)

I can try to check against contents of the bill.

Tianc · 08/12/2011 16:59

Can you point us to Niceguy's link, I don't know what I'm looking for?

CardyMow · 08/12/2011 16:45

But TBH - they WOULD put that on the DWP website - they WANT it to fly under the radar.

I just find it odd that CSA Hell, Gingerbread AND the Institute of Fiscal Studies are saying something different to what is being said on Niceguy2's linky.

I really have to dash now, will be back later.

#frothers.

lubeybaublely · 08/12/2011 16:42

Hello all. I'm fine, I'm fine, it's all fine. I haven't really got insipid mush instead of a brain after eveything I've been reading today in between fielding calls and running round and arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Well, at least i've managed to stop swearing anyway, for now.

Niceguy2 has come up with an interesting link on the CSA changes thread that contradicts the maintenance issue, and seems to indicate that it won't be taken off anyone after all.

I need to know one way or the other what it is, so that if the original info is true, i can kick some serious House of Lords butt. No point in me sending the 20 letters I've got ready to print off opposing it if it isn't even happening Blush

ShirleyKnot · 08/12/2011 16:31

I'll reply!

CardyMow · 08/12/2011 16:28

Someone on the blog has asked a question that occured to me too - I can't seem to put a comment on there.

They have asked what happens to arrears if they close the case in order to transfer you from CSA to CMEC. I suspect that the same thing happens as it would if you closed the case yourself - that any and all arrears are written off. I fucking hope not.

I will be doing a LOT of digging on that one later - but if someone cleverer than me could reply to the comment letting them know that I am looking into that, it would be helpful.

What a way to write off arrears owed too, if what I fear is the case. Start CMEC with a clean sheet, let tens of thousands of NRP's wipe off huge debts, and leave the PWC's struggling EVEN MORE.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 08/12/2011 16:26

Only just caught up with this from Aljazeera, Women in Britain are fed up I know it was posted last night Blush

Not sure how I missed it before, but it is excellent, if like me you haven't read it yet, do.

Some of the following comments make for 'interesting' reading

Oooooooo...major journo?????

I'm not here really! (I have to shove lamb stew down the dc in a sec before going to their Christmas Carol concert, just popped on while DS3 has a bf).

KateFrothers · 08/12/2011 16:10

Aw thanks SGM Smile You are one of us too. Lurking, RTing etc it all counts.

Heck, just reading stuff makes a difference.

Hunty your blog post has just been picked up by a major journo! Am watching to see what happens next...

ShirleyKnot · 08/12/2011 15:10

THe incredible part is how much squirming done on BEHALF of these arseholes - that's what I can't get my head round - it's all "Well, you shouldn't have had kids with such an irresponsible pig", "You shouldn't have let yourself be financially dependant" "I know a bloke who pays xxx amount a month and he doesn;t get to see his kids"...

blah fucking blah.

And yet again the majority just gets shafted.
