A few button-pushing moments. Plenty of optimism. Nice dig at Labour for booing Tony Blair. I rather enjoyed it. :)

I was wrong about DC...

...I didn't think it was possible to hate him anymore but after that 'speech', I do.

He was told to take the "pay your debts" bit out.

This speech was bollocks world and national finance is NOTHING like household finance. And for the record DC I would pay off all my credit cards and hosehold borrowing immediately if I had your income you FUCK

I shall look forward to tomorrow's Daily Mail Smile

I'm sure the Daily Mail will transcribe it in full for you claigy :) He had a nice line in it about how Conservatives are proud of their former leaders unlike Labour who boo theirs. Referring to the reaction at the Labour conference when Milliband said 'I am not Tony Blair' and there were some boos from the audience.

I don't think the phrase 'Big Society' was actually used but there was a big call to arms... wants business to provide more apprenticeships etc.

or are the Conservative Conference audience Tony Blair fans?

claig · 05/10/2011 16:55

'Nice dig at Labour for booing Tony Blair'

but isn't booing Blair popular with the public?

claig · 05/10/2011 16:52

Didn't know it was on. What did he say? Any good news on the economy? Did he drop mention of the Big Society?
