What a pile of rubbish - why not call for real murderers to be brought to account eg the copper who killed Ian Tomlinson! Does anyone else think it was a jolly good thing that the police presence was 'inadequate'? Nobody got killed, unlike that unfortunate newspaper seller at the G20 demonstration in the summer. And he wasn't killed by people voicing their protest, but by our forces of law and order, was he not?

I have mixed feelings about that. On the one hand it is appalling, hypocritical and insulting. On the other, thank goodness he realises that higher education is effectively one of our most successful export industries and China is a crucial expanding market. The way he's been handling the immigration issue made me wonder if he had actually noticed.

I'm impressed that students, who have been quiescent for so long, have proved thay still have it in them to make their mark. I'm proud of them. This is an important matter.
As for the lad who threw the fire extinguisher - what a fool. It WAS lucky he didn't kill anyone, but now he's thinking straight again he'll definitely be regretting having been carried away so dangerously. Remember, he was one in 50,000.

Nick Clegg personally signed the NUS pledge document that categorically stated their opposition to any, that is any, rise in tuition fees.
Last week, when it was announced, I listened to some Lib dem no mark trying to dress the rise up as something that was not an increase - £3k to £9k -because it would be recovered as a tax - people still have to pay it back you fecking dick. Disgrace ,disgrace ,disgrace, disgrace ad infinitum
And the expected job surge in the private sector is not going to happen. 65% (from memory) of the private company CEOs who backed the Tory cuts, in an open letter to the Times, have sanctioned redundancies and lay offs within their own companies within the past 12 months and are predicting more within the nect 12 months.
It does not add up and George Osborne (inexperienced public school no idea how the real world live twunt)should not be dictating a recovery plan that is doomed.

Those of you who think that these thugs weren't students should listen to Radio 5 now. They spoke to a student called Emmaline who was on the roof and condoned the break in and violence. If her mother is a MNetter she must be so proud of her dd .

Forturmately other sensible student called in and said they didn't agree with Emmaline and her type. According to her, breaking the law is the only way to protest. With that level of intellect I'm amazed she managed to enrol in a degree course in the first place.
