Thoughts on using the name Clodagh for our baby girl

Both me and partner are Irish but live in England, thoughts on calling our baby girl Clodagh?
Pronounced Clo - Dah
I think it’s easy enough to say but interested to see people’s reactions with no Irish heritage.
Any advice is appreciated,

I know a Clodagh and it’s always made me think of a clod or a blood clot. It sounds icky

Unfortunately it makes me think of loo because ‘Klo’ means loo in German. And although I know how to pronounce it, it’s still loo-duck for me.

I am not a fan, personally, and I think there are many much nicer Irish names.

However, it doesn't really matter what randoms on the Internet might think - if you love it, use it.

FWIW, I think most British people with any passing familiarity with Irish names would easily work out how to pronounce it.

Nice name, and I think it would be easy to pronounce.

Maybe a little old fashioned in Ireland? I'd put it alongside Eimear, Eithne, and Grainne in terms of its era, but it was never as popular as any of those names, so it still sounds fresh.

British living in Ireland, I think its a bit old fashioned. Not so common among Irish kids that I can see. Lots of other gorgeous Irish names though.

As Irish names go it’s fairly easy for the English to spell and pronounce! I don’t love it myself but that’s irrelevant, I think it works fine in this country.

Probably because it’s an anglicised spelling, not an Irish language one 😁

Do you think the same whenever you meet somebody called Louise or Louie, though? You don't even need to know a foreign language word for those!

It's a beautiful name. She'll encounter some people who struggle to pronounce/spell it because some people struggle to pronounce or write very common & short names, but I think the majority of English people will manage fine
