esselle, I think they've all gone to bed lol

esselle · 11/04/2009 00:33

Oh what a great result!

I have had to break my own self imposed rule of no MN before lunch but it was worth it!

Does anyone else have a man who needs sorting out?? He he he!!

allthetwinklystars · 11/04/2009 00:32

Well done shiny and tiger for following your plan so well. Can I just add that it seems to me that you have respected the boundaries of what is 'ok' well - maintaining his anonymity as well as yours and not pushing this too far. You've taken all the suggestions here and just judged it so well.

Dozymare · 11/04/2009 00:20

great thread! Can't we all send him a penguin from different parts of the World? Imagine, he would get near on 100+ penguins in the post!! That would really do his head in!

KiwEasterKat · 11/04/2009 00:02

Have just spent the last couple of hours discovering this and sniggering, much to DH's bemusement. He didn't see what was so funny - I, however, loved it all. You are all a very clever, funny bunch. Thanks for the entertainment.

frankiecat · 11/04/2009 00:01

caramelwaffle - a bowl of frosties??

frankiecat · 11/04/2009 00:01

can you just imagine receiving hundreds of penguin related merchandise all in one hit? i wish i had been a fly on the wall when he read his e mail. this has been a fantastic past few days LOL. well done shineon and tiger.

TinkerBellesMumandFiFi2 · 10/04/2009 23:59

Oh, yes please, I'd love to send him a Penguin biscuit

heyvick · 10/04/2009 23:55

heyvick offers to send something from Australia. I'm sure kerryy would as well. Haven't seen the penguin biscuits out here, but i do have a Happy Feet bow tie from a p.j. set that I would be happy to donate to the good cause roflmao

Dreamaway · 10/04/2009 23:41

Shiny are you still going to send him a penguin in the post?

In fact if each and everyone of us that has followed this were to send him a Penguin in the post it would completely do his head in trying to work out why all these biscuits were arriving from all over the uk

caramelwaffle · 10/04/2009 23:37

Fabulous!

Am going to celebrate by dipping a penguin bar in a big bowl of Frosties yum yum and hurrah!

StercusAccidit · 10/04/2009 23:22

ROFLPM @ tiger "I did feel a bit sorry for him but once THAT nanosecond was over....

This has GOT to be an MN classic pls pls

TinkerBellesMumandFiFi2 · 10/04/2009 23:22

I've not been on MN for awhile so this thread is the first I've read about it, brilliant! I love the pages of "come on tiger!" the fastest I've read 14 pages in awhile!

Have you thought about nominating him for Britains Got Love Rats?

BottySpottom · 10/04/2009 23:15

Such a shame the Chubster and Jane's relationship is fictitious - they could have had a lovely wedding like this

heyvick · 10/04/2009 23:05

heyvick gets up, turns on computer, rushes to the loo, and races back to computer puffpuffpuff . She gets to part where the idjit has been stood up and breaks out in Happy Feet penguin dance roflmao. About to go to 2nd thread. Hi kerryy fancy seeing you here . Am about to get into rest of thread heehee

soon2befamilyof4 · 10/04/2009 23:05

What a mug to stand there for that long to wait for a random stranger that could have been anybody.

This bloke seems like such a twat - I think you have done yourself a big favour by catching him out. Just think if you hadn't of replied to that text in the start you might never have caught him out.

juneybean · 10/04/2009 22:54

Hahaha thanks for the update Tiger! Well worth it

A Truely amazing thread. Thank-you to all who contributed!

BottySpottom · 10/04/2009 22:53

sorry, just remembered he's in the RAF

BottySpottom · 10/04/2009 22:51

did you say he was in the forces?

tigerdroveoverthebunnies · 10/04/2009 22:47

It was truly a (rather damp) pleasure. But I just turned up to observe. Shiny did all the running.

DSM · 10/04/2009 22:45

Oh, one of the best threads I have ever come across in 5 years of MN.

Shiney, Tiger - I salute you.

LittleMissNorty · 10/04/2009 22:36

Fab thread(s)....well done

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 10/04/2009 22:36

I wonder if he would be up for Jane asking for another date (at any of the suggestions, farm, wildlife park, duck pond etc). You may have helped him find his sense of humour?

thumbbunny · 10/04/2009 22:33

MNHQ are debating making the original a classic (have had an email from them) - perhaps they'll link the 2 together and make them both classic.
