@CheeseSandwichRiskAssessment I got that totally backward - he's not a singer, he's an actor.

It's James Earl Jones.

What a hottie he was.

This one often appears on these threads, providing a public service for those who may not have seen this image before

Oh yes, young Bruce!

Garrison Ford all the way.

Also, a man whose name has slipped my mind....

Black singer, from around 1960s I think. Think he's still alive, in his 90s.

Not Marvin Gaye or Otis Redding (obviously, as this guy is still alive Blush)...oh this is so frustrating

Anybody?

He was absolutely smokin when he was young 🔥

Sly Stone?
Couldn't resist another Marvin Gaye pic Grin

So many truly beautiful men and women on this thread but I have a physical repulsion to cigarettes and there are so many smoking pictures! How bad their breath would have been!

(yes I am weird, it goes beyond the normal, smoking is gross, I can’t even look at pictures without a reaction)

Perhaps a bit out of left field, but Jeff Lynne...

Not left field at all! Most of ELO were my teenage fancies (not crushes or heartthrobs).

eleanorwish · 21/04/2024 23:15

this one did surprise me, ( just copied it from his Twitter feed). James Dreyfus:

Anyone guess who this is?

I was thinking yesterday, this thread wouldn't be complete without that pic of young Stalin!

KindaBinding81 · 21/04/2024 23:02

Farrah Fawcett! She was kind of magical in her prime.

More recently, there's Rufus Sewell, who is almost more beautiful now than he was when young, which I thought was impossible.

He has aged spectacularly well - obviously not partaking in alcohol or drugs...

Wow...

I don’t think I ever have heard him not in character. I’ll search.

I remember being taken aback when I first heard June Brown speak in her normal voice. Which was remarkably silly of me really.

I am silly too then because I saw her open a fête or somesuch, and was similarly discombobulated.

She did an amazing monologue on EastEnders once. I think they gave her the whole episode. Wonderfully charismatic performance.

Looks like Marshall Mathers 😍

Did you ever hear Wilfred Brambell's real speaking voice @WhatsTheUseOfWorrying ? A real old school posh English actor voice!

Omg I agree with so many of these! Love The Lady Vanishes @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g ! Charters and Caldecott!

And Roger Livesey in I Know Where I'm Going manages to be the most attractive man ever @catscatscurrantscurrants !!

How about Gerard Phillipe? So beautiful and tragically died of liver cancer in 1959 aged just 36. Two photos of him:-

The cheekbones on the women are incredible.
Not a filler among them.
