Boots refusing to sell canesten to men! Wtf!

Dh went to boots to buy canesten today and the sales person refused to sell it to him as he was a man! Apparently the pharmacist stepped in and he bought it.
Wtf? Surely men can get thrush or could have been buying it for someone else. It's bonkers
Apparently she said it was a boots policy!

Hello Dave, you're myyyy wife now! Even though there's no wedding photos...

EBearhug · 04/09/2025 22:50

They haven't. But they probably won't approve his pics till the morning.

ArabeIIaScott · 04/09/2025 22:37

They've censored Dave.

Dave is good! We have 6 millipedes, 2 centipede, 2 scorpions, dubia roaches and a goliath bird eating spider. Cute ish with glow in the dark pink paws. It's the size of my hand and only 2 years old!
Dd wants to be an entomologist!
There are so many other bugs she wants but as she takes care of them all and they'll go with her to uni I don't really mind.

The stupid thing is we needed it for the millipedes. It's cheaper than getting it from the vet.

Wait what?

My husband was recently refused the 2% version in Boots but was allowed the 1%. Crazy!

If you’re new to mumsnet @Anne635 i would recommend reading all of the OPs posts in this thread and meeting Dave

Millipedes are vegans I believe. Unlike centipedes who are terrifying bastards who'll hunt down and kill anything they can subdue.

So the woodlice are Dave's friends. That's cute 🥰

Does Dave eat woodlice or are they her friends? If she eats them that seems a bit like cannibalism cause they look like mini Daves.

CauliflowerBalti · 07/03/2024 19:43

Why are so many people still talking about thrush and men and chemists? The medicine:millipede ratio isn't right.

RumNotRun · 06/03/2024 18:54

SinnerBoy · 06/03/2024 18:30

Are Dave and the woodlice eating a sprout?

It's cucumber isn't it?

ArabeIIaScott · 06/03/2024 18:37

Dave looks shiny and in great condition. Do pass on my best. And hello to your pink-footed spider. Cuter than expected.

lemons44 · 05/03/2024 11:57

I would like to see both Dave and a spider with pink shoes.

SinnerBoy · 05/03/2024 11:49

I'd love to see the spider and so would my daughter.

ArabeIIaScott · 05/03/2024 11:28

Magic! 're Dave. I will be a bit scared of spider pics ... though curious about the pink feet.
