Just thought I'd better start a new thread for those of you who would like to see updates before the old one is totally full.

All still good here! I've been a bit low on iron but the tablets REALLY don't agree with me. So I've started just taking one in the morning with orange juice, and having a spoonful of Floridix in the afternoon and making an effort to eat spinach and red meat.
I've been feeling baby OMG moving around a lot more now he's getting bigger and stronger, which is lovely although slightly alarming at times!

We've probably got a maximum of 7 weeks to go now as I understand the drs are not keen for older mums to go much over 39 weeks. Eeeek.
Will keep you all posted.

Ah this is where the fun starts! Baby days are cute but when they are becoming their own little person it's something special. 😍

My 2.5 year old is next to me and though I sometimes miss the early days, it's so sweet to hear him talking and to actually understand what he wants now instead of just the crying.

I took him out in the snow for the first time today. 😊

(I should go to bed 😂)

Theopossumwasmeantforme · 17/01/2023 22:09

I love your updated! Glad it's all going well.

Longdarkcloud · 17/01/2023 20:29

Thanks for your heartwarming update OMG. Clearly your DS is bringing you all the joy you hoped for. Bless you and your family

Omgwhatthehell · 17/01/2023 19:26

Hi all! Yes he’s nearly 6 months old. It’s gone so fast.
We had a lovely Christmas at home, although that feels like ages ago now.

Baby OMG is still big and chubby for his age. He started rolling over and trying to crawl.
He’s also a very alert, interactive baby, which is fun, but very tiring Grin
He is very smily and laughs a lot. There’s nothing like seeing his face break out into a big grin when he wakes up and sees me.

Hi @YouDoIDo I’m just doing a night feed and saw your post Smile
Hopefully you’ll be pleased to hear that baby OMG is thriving. He’s quite a chunky boy, with big leg rolls.
He’s coming up to 16 weeks now. He’s definitely been going through a developmental stage as he’s been a bit grumpy and clingy, but hopefully we seem to be coming out the other side of that.
DH and I are l loving watching his personality develop. He loves to be kissed on his nose, and to be “flown” around face down, supported on one of our arms like a chubby plane.

Love a chubby baby!
Aw just read your pg thread OP. What a lovely thing to happen.
Enjoy your gorgeous boy Mamma😊

How lovely to read your update omgwhatthehell. Wishing you, your DH and baby OMG a wonderful first Christmas together and many more!

Omgwhatthehell · 22/11/2022 20:40

Nice to hear from you @Irishfarmer Glad your little one is doing well. I can’t wait for our baby to see the Christmas lights either 😊

@BeaLola I just had a look at Charles of Luxembourg and baby OMG does look a little like he did when he was smaller! He has the same ultra chubbiness.

Well this didn't make me tear up at all.

Irishfarmer · 22/11/2022 19:12

Aw what a lovely update. My DS is 18 weeks and loves nose kisses too. The last week he has started 'talking' just goo-goo's at us for hours it's hilarious and adorable!! Can't wait to see his face with the Christmas lights.

BeaLola · 22/11/2022 19:00

I am sure he is a little genius - how lovely he sounds - for sone reason when you describe him I imagine him like the Thread Mascot Charles on the Style & Beauty Royal thread

Merry Merry Christmas to the OMG family

PolliFlinders · 22/11/2022 18:38

How lovely to get an update. Hope you have a lovely family Christmas.

Omgwhatthehell · 22/11/2022 16:34

Gosh @OliveWah it is nearly a year isn’t it?! That’s crazy.

@kateandme our families are over the moon with him. My brother seems to have Precious First Nephew syndrome and thinks he’s a little genius showing signs of being very intelligent haha! Grin

@Nottogetapenny we are going to see family and friends around Christmas but plan to spend the actual day at home as a little family, which will be perfect.

@Omgwhatthehell -I've been following from the start, but have NC'd. It's lovely to hear the Omgwhatthehell family are all doing well, I can't believe it's nearly a year since you first posted that pic of your test!
