It's Platinum Jubilee weekend for the Playmobil people in our house...

... and so I'm bringing you four days of celebrations in Playmoland. Today is King Athelstan's birthday parade. The route has been lined with bunting.

Hello, sorry for my absence, have only just got back from holiday, and didn't have much internet access.

A coronation would be lovely, but I'm not sure I can bring myself to kill off King Athelstan. So unless he decides to abdicate...

Also, a funeral might be quite difficult. I do have a coffin with a glass lid (from the Snow White set), but no hearse, and it would be difficult to get everyone wearing black, as most of the Playmo people can't change their clothes.

But thanks for the ideas! Smile

Hope you’re doing well @SoMuchToBits , are you considering a Playmobil people version of recent/related events, like the coronation? Just wanted to post to say if you did do it, I would appreciate it as a form of art for the significance of the occasion.

I was very pleased to see Apollo up to his usual tricks!

I was a bit disappointed the Puddingheads didn’t make an appearance, but I’m glad they didn’t ruin King Athelstan’s Jubilee!

I hope some of you who are regulars on Playmo threads spotted a few familiar faces (apart from the Royals of course). Marta and Matthias can be seen arriving for the Party at the Palace concert, as can Kirsten (who always pays with contactless). And arriving to line the procession route for the birthday parade are Angharad, Alwyn, Aled and Anwen (with dog Apollo, who also featured in the street party scenes). Smile

I'm pleased you made it to this thread in the end @Horsemad and enjoyed the horse race! I think I might have to re-watch some of the real Jubilee events as I was busy posting the Playmo version while trying to watch the RL stuff! Grin

I've spent the afternoon watching the real Platinum Pageant on tv (missed it yesterday as was out playing with the band I'm in yesterday afternoon, also out ata quiz in the evening). I wish I'd known how much stuff was going to be in it, as I'd have planned a more impressive Playmo version! Grin

Here's my Playmo storage (except now all the boxes also have labels!). This was a new shed earlier this year to replace the old falling-apart smaller shed and summer house. The storage is now great, so much easier to find everything! Smile
