... and so I'm bringing you four days of celebrations in Playmoland. Today is King Athelstan's birthday parade. The route has been lined with bunting.

@SoMuchToBits
Thanks for sharing these with us. I love to see the goings on.
Cavalry were my favourite. They look so smart. 🥰

Thank you all! I have spent a lovely afternoon in my next door neighbours' garden drinking wine and toasting the monarch! In answer to your questions yes there will be many other festivities over the weekend. Smile

Thankyou Somuchtobits, your hard work is greatly appreciated. I expect if we could see it we would find your name was somewhere high up on King Athelstan birthday honours list.

Will there be further celebrations over the weekend? A church service of celebration, a concert maybe? Hope everyone keeps well and doesn’t succumb to a late bout of Covid.

Fabulous! Also ridiculously proud that you must be from my neck of the woods! ( Especially with Ospringe, Bapchild and Blean!)

Oblomov22 · 02/06/2022 18:23

Ha ha. Love it OP.

Bloodybridget · 02/06/2022 18:23

Next come some infantry, headed up by Sir Whitstable Blean.

I’ve been in his woods! Lovely place for a walk.

alphonsedupont · 02/06/2022 18:16

What brilliant names :)

petalpower · 02/06/2022 18:04

I hope the Puddingheads aren’t going to create a disturbance to the celebrations!

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 02/06/2022 18:01

ChessieFL · 02/06/2022 17:53

Brilliant SoMuch!

FuzzyPuffling · 02/06/2022 17:50

Please may I ask if the Puddingheads are about? Maybe planning their usual failed forays into crime?

ShaunaTheSheep · 02/06/2022 17:46

Bravo! SoMuchToBits, may I bestow the title of Pageant Master (or Mistress) upon you for this triumph?

FuzzyPuffling · 02/06/2022 17:42

Oh oh oh...how exciting. Hurrah and all that!!

DaisyQuakeJohnson · 02/06/2022 17:39

Hurrah! Congratulations to King Athelstan!
The King and OP (his trusty servant) deserve amazing celebrations in gratitude for all the joy they have brought MN over the years 👑🍾
