Is this positive?!

I’ve name changed for this. I am due in hospital tomorrow for a colposcopy because of periods being all over the place. Just decided to do a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.
DH and I were told earlier this year it was very unlikely we could conceive due to my age and low AMH levels.

Was not expecting this. I’m not going nuts am I? Is this positive? Is there any way it could be wrong?

DH is at work & I can’t talk to him for a couple of hours. Am shaking.

Is this positive?!

I went for a private scan at 8 weeks, I think it was £70 if I remember correctly but it was soooo worth it for peace of mind

Congratulations to you both, proves miracles do happen Smile

nopenotplaying · 01/12/2021 21:13

Ha ha I didn't see it coming either. But when you read more about it I should've done. Apparently the chance of twins is higher as you age, it's the body's way of guaranteeing success! By releasing more eggs. Mine are boy/girl, this theory doesn't apply of the twins are ID. Whatever happens you are blessed and I send you huge congratulations xxxx

I don't think you need to do any more tests. That is a strong positive. It's not one of the ones that you have to put your glasses on and peer at it at a certain angle. My faint line is snoozing upstairs and he's 20!

My first baby was a very clear line. I kept having the idea that I'd go for a scan and there'd be nothing there because I didn't have any symptoms at all. There was a baby there though.

Omgwhatthehell · 01/12/2021 21:09

@nopenotplaying No offence but I hope not haha!
My paternal Grandmother was an identical twin, but if I remember correctly that isn’t inherited.

It would serve me right for laughing about one of DH’s friends who recently had twins. He messaged her a couple of weeks after their arrival asking her if there is anything her and her husband would like as a gift and she just replied “gin” Grin
