Is this positive?!

I’ve name changed for this. I am due in hospital tomorrow for a colposcopy because of periods being all over the place. Just decided to do a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.
DH and I were told earlier this year it was very unlikely we could conceive due to my age and low AMH levels.

Was not expecting this. I’m not going nuts am I? Is this positive? Is there any way it could be wrong?

DH is at work & I can’t talk to him for a couple of hours. Am shaking.

Is this positive?!

I love a thread like this. I believe this is what they call a "last hurrah" op.... your body goes a bit loopy on the downhill slope and sometimes throws everything at a couple of last swings for the win. I believe it used to be relatively common in the days before reliable contraception.... both my grandmothers produced surprise last babies 8 years after their older children, when they thought they were a bit "past it".

Good luck with your pregnancy.

I remember when I was at the stage you were at telling my fertility nurse that I felt quite sick & she said "That's fantastic" which I've never forgotten Grin

Lovely to have an update OP. Keep taking care of yourself & enjoying this special time Smile

So lovely to read such a happy post . Hope your scan next week will reassure you 💐

Benjispruce5 · 10/12/2021 17:09

Don’t worry if you don’t have full on sickness. I had not one moment of nausea with either of my pregnancies and they’re now 17 & 21.Everyone is different.

ArabellaScott · 10/12/2021 13:34
  • re morning sickness - little and often. Eating a little tiny bit actually helps to ease nausea quite often.
ArabellaScott · 10/12/2021 13:34

Oh, OP. I am so absolutely delighted for you. Smile

Merry Christmas!

Thank you for the update, I am so excited for you guys.

Omgwhatthehell · 10/12/2021 11:58

Just thought I'd post a little update.

I am booked in for the NHS dating scan towards the end of January when I should be around 13 weeks.
We have our early scan in about a week. If all is well then I think this will feel a bit more real and we'll be ready to feel a bit more excited!

As it is I have very little appetite and am feeling quite sick during the day. I can't quite work out if it's nerves or early pregnancy sickness!

I had noticed I was tired and wasn't very hungry throughout November but I put it down to being so busy at work and end of year fatigue. I really don't fancy eating much at all apart from 'children's' sort of food like beans, pasta bake, mashed potato, fish fingers and milkshake.

Thanks KimMumsnet OP I asked them to change the name on your deleted post as it was obvious who you were. I am even more excited by your news as I recognised your username (on here, I don't know you irl) sending you all the best.

KimMumsnet · 05/12/2021 13:32

Hi, OP. We've sorted out your name change fail on those previous posts now.
