Is this positive?!

I’ve name changed for this. I am due in hospital tomorrow for a colposcopy because of periods being all over the place. Just decided to do a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.
DH and I were told earlier this year it was very unlikely we could conceive due to my age and low AMH levels.

Was not expecting this. I’m not going nuts am I? Is this positive? Is there any way it could be wrong?

DH is at work & I can’t talk to him for a couple of hours. Am shaking.

Is this positive?!

This is such a lovely thread, it’s crazy how happy you can be for someone you don’t know but I am absolutely thrilled for you OP ❤️

JeffThePilot · 20/12/2021 15:15

Amazing update!

Omgwhatthehell · 20/12/2021 13:18

@emmathedilemma I really don’t want to risk telling anyone this early on. Especially as an older Mum to be.
My parents are coincidentally due to visit us the day after our scan in January though. So we can tell them in person then!

I had my first midwife appointment this morning and she seems lovely Smile

Borgonzola · 19/12/2021 13:37

@Omgwhatthehell I've had a succession of 'stomach bugs' and 'colds' that have meant I don't have the stomach for alcohol at all Xmas Grin

Thankfully I have morning all day sickness so I def look rough and people believe me Xmas Blush

Congratulations again on your wonderful news Xmas Smile

Omgwhatthehell · 19/12/2021 11:23

@Borgonzola

I've only just seen this Xmas Smile huge congratulations. And we're very in synch! I'm 8 weeks on Tuesday Smile
Ah congratulations Borgonzola! It’s a funny time isn’t it?! I would normally have a drink in hand for most of December. So far I’ve had to use excuses including a faux hangover, feeling rough after my booster, feeling rough after I had a cold etc etc meaning I don’t fancy a drink. We’re seeing my parents next week and I think it’ll be hard to keep this secret as they will be thrilled.

Congratulations OP. I have very low amh too, we spent years trying and £14k on failed medical treatment. Then a miracle happened 🥰

Benjispruce5 · 19/12/2021 11:11

Oh brilliant op. I’m so happy for a complete stranger! With all the doom and gloom your story shines brightly. Have a very happy Christmas and enjoy your new year with your new addition. Fabulous!

Borgonzola · 19/12/2021 11:02

BitterTits · 19/12/2021 10:28

This thread is everything OP. I'm so happy for you. We conceived naturally after two failed IVF attempts.

SunsetSmartmeter · 19/12/2021 10:24

What a lovely update OP - I'm so pleased.

It was 15 years ago yesterday that I learnt my first fertility treatment baby was on the way. He's a sulky 14 year old now, I love to wind him up & make him even sulkier by telling him he was "Mummy's Best Ever Christmas present" Grin

Do feel free to use this one in around a decade & a half's time Grin

Electriq · 19/12/2021 02:54

Ahh I'm delighted for you both, I kept sneaking back looking for an update, honestly the happiest I have been for a total stranger on the interweb 🎊Congratulations🎊

DancinOnTheCeiling · 18/12/2021 23:37

So delighted for you and so chuffed you’ve had your scan and that everything is fine 😍😍. What a wonderful Christmas miracle x

Aslockton · 18/12/2021 17:49

I have followed your thread since the start and put it in my 'watch this thread' folder. Thank you for the updates and a huge congratulations to you both. My DC are all grown up now but I still remember the excitement of the positive pregnancy test (and wondering what to do with it... I did not just want to bin it!) and the first scan. You have waited so long for this moment and we are all rooting for you. Enjoy Christmas, next year's will be very different!

Omgwhatthehell · 18/12/2021 15:43

Thank you so much for the well wishes.
We aren’t sharing the news with anyone in real life until after our scan in January, so it feels so nice to know so many of you are cheering us on!

I’m still having sickness on and off, and don’t have much appetite. DH picked up some more milkshake for me earlier and is in the kitchen now making a nice dinner while I relax. Hopefully he can keep up the excellent care for another seven months Smile
