Help me place this actor??

I saw him on a train. Can’t for the life of me remember who he is.

He’s a British tv actor, probably in his 50s or early 60s. Grey hair, used to be blonde. Piercing blue eyes. Often plays a hero/ love interest type role.

a bit like Greg wise but shorter!

I feel sure he was in a Sunday night drama or a soap or something but I can’t find him online! It’s driving me mad!

Could it be John Michie - formally of taggart and Corrie? It took me ages to place him when I saw him at the beach last summer - puzzled me for days until I had a eureka moment!!

I think OP said he looked very like Steve Pinder and Mark Bonnar (both of whom look very similar)

I think@Corkit 's suggestion of David Easter is a good call.

Could it be any of these

Robert Daws, Paul Fox or Robert Cavanah.

Had a look through shows I used to watch when I was younger and these are the only 3 that kinda fit the description.
