To go round?

We pay a company to clean our bins once a month on bin day. I’m not usually home when they come, but I’m off work today And happened to be in the kitchen. I watched my next door neighbour wait until the cleaner left, take the house number sticker off my bin and put it on his, then swap our bin for his so he had the cleaned bin and I had a non-cleaned one.

He was back in his house before I had time to contain the dog and go outside but now DH is home, WIBU to go round and ask for my bin back??

Id go round and if he denied it I'd tell him I recorded him doing it as I couldn't believe anyone could be so cheeky

Si1ver · 28/06/2021 20:07

Good. I'm completely gobsmacked by this behaviour.

JackieWeaversAuthorityHere · 28/06/2021 20:07

@Si1ver

He must have done. If he were in and out that quick he surely must have been waiting for the scheduled clean to finish so he could nip out and swap them over.
That’s exactly what DH said.

I’ve chickened our, I’m sending DH Grin

I'd go round and pretend I'd filmed it.

@cherrybonbons

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I cannot believe the audacity of this cheeky fuker!
I keep questioning whether I actually saw it or not but I’ve checked and our bin is dirty so I definitely did!

I’m popping round. Wish me luck!

@44PumpLane

Agree that you need to paint your bin number on (or flowers or something jazzy)!

But YANBU to go round and tell the CF you've seen them and take your bin back... How often do you think they do this? Do you reckon they do this every time you have the bin cleaned?

It must be the first time because I’ve never noticed the bin isn’t cleaned when the cleaners are supposed to have been, although I really don’t pay much attention! I’ve asked DH and he thinks we wouldn’t have noticed and this guy has probably done it before, but DH is a right dramalama and really dislikes this guy anyway.

He can’t have done this before surely??

If he’s a councillor then I’d wait and film him the next time he does it and post the footage on facebook.

@Si1ver

Christ no. Go round and tell him you saw him change numbers and get your clean bin back.

What the actual fuck is your neighbour up to?

He’s a local councillor as well!

@Si1ver

Also paint your number on the bin so he can't do it again.
Absolutely the plan!

Just take it back and swap the numbers back around. Cheeky git
