It will be too miserly to spread itself around much.

BlankTimes · 21/05/2021 17:35

Aye, appen.

BeenAsFarAsMercyAndGrand · 21/05/2021 17:29

Symptoms include feeling Old Peculiar

OnTheSeaShore · 21/05/2021 17:25

@Babdoc

Interestingly, most variants infect people through the nose or eyes. But the Yorkshire variant gets in bah gum. One will fetch one’s coat… Grin
Haha! That's made my day!
fairisledog · 21/05/2021 17:23

omg one of my neighbours who is anti vaccination got a whippet rescue dog only 2 days ago !

It could be spreading amongst the unvaccinated.

fairisledog · 21/05/2021 17:21

Brings a whole new meaning to "See Barnsley* and die" ! Wink

*.....or was that some other tourist magnet European city Grin

grapewine · 21/05/2021 17:20

@KurtWilde

I'm in Yorkshire, we'll just make a brew and that'll sort it Grin
Grin Grin
MissConductUS · 21/05/2021 17:19

At least it's not the New Yorkshire variant that makes people a bit rude and pushy. Grin

thenightsky · 21/05/2021 17:11

Eh bah gum can your belly touch your bum, do your tits hang low, can yer swing em too and fro

Oh aye, we used to sing that one at school (Daleswoman here)

'I wonder if one of the symptoms is the overwhelming urge to purchase a whippet'
... and wrinkled stockings

And a flat cap ... and a euphonium ... and a bag of coal to keep in the bath

HighlandCowbag · 21/05/2021 17:01

It's not a cappuccino at all.

It's a froffy coffee.

PennineSpring · 21/05/2021 16:55

[quote Hippee]PennineSpring - don't you mean Cornholme? Wink

Ormally · 21/05/2021 16:52

Maggiesfarm, what about their cappuccinos?
What's wrong with 'we could froth it up a bit for you?'

Ormally · 21/05/2021 16:51

It's grim up north alright. But we can tek it.

Maggiesfarm · 21/05/2021 16:50

It's all because of their fancy 'afternoon teas'.

Scarborough, Filey and Whitby will be devoid of tourists this summer.

Twatterati · 21/05/2021 16:48

And it's probably been here ages, we're just so 'ard we 'adn't noticed. It's the 'arsh summers what mek us tough!

Ormally · 21/05/2021 16:43

@Allmyarseandpeggymartin

Bet it causes high temperatures and cold sweats if you get any further south than Doncaster, cravings for Yorkshire tea and uncharacteristic friendliness towards strangers Grin
Aye, it does. Worse, you might have to take your big coat off south of Chesterfield too.
Twatterati · 21/05/2021 16:42

Ooh lovely, a variant with a nice side of chips n gravy, yummy.

(Disclaimer - I live in Yorkshire, so feel ok to take the mickey!)

TheQueef · 21/05/2021 16:42

Depends ont' Snake.

katy1213 · 21/05/2021 16:39

Guess it won't cross the Pennines.

As long as they don't say "hello" to strangers here

whataballbag · 21/05/2021 16:33

@TheQueef I'm from Lancashire and even I love a nice 'eeeeeeeeeh' every once in a while.

Susie477 · 21/05/2021 16:32

T’Lancastrians tried to send us their roobish variant but we were avin’ none of it. We sent Boycott & Root to t’border with their bats and they saw t’covid off. They were 160 not out at tea. That’s Yorkshire tea, obviously.
