I've put privacy film on the front room windows and he can't watch the world go by any more. He's sulking.

He's just stopped purring. He despises me posting about him on social media.

Cowbells · 08/04/2021 08:04

It won't last of course but thought I'd get in and mention it while it does.

Cowbells · 08/04/2021 08:04

Nothing. He is currently draped on my left arm as I type, purring his head off. [preens]

JorisBonson · 08/04/2021 06:41

Boy cat failed to catch his nightly mouse, and his attitude towards me suggests that it is my fault.

Furries · 08/04/2021 02:48

@IrenetheQuaint

My cat has become electrified! I think it must be the cold dry weather. Whenever I try to stroke her I get a shock and she dashes off in high dudgeon.
OMG, this happens fairly often here!

The way FCat looks at me/runs off, I’m sure he thinks I’m trying to create Frankenstein’s monster when I stroke him 🧟‍♂️

He was curled up in a ball, fast asleep on the sofa next to me. I realised his flea tree was overdue. Did said treatment. He's now moved to the other sofa. He never sits there! Oops.

I got to the swing seat first. So he glared at me from under the apple tree for 2 hours.

QueenPaw · 07/04/2021 13:29

Wouldn't let him charge his phone to go on Catsnet

I put the blinds down in our bedroom so I could sleep

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/04/2021 12:50

That’s actually the correct response, he’s read the manual.

violetbunny · 07/04/2021 09:55

We changed the clocks her last weekend for Daylight Saving (not in the UK) so Boycat now has to wait a whole extra hour in the morning before I get up, feed him, and let him out.

He decided this morning to express his annoyance that I wasn't getting up, by howling at me and then shredding a toilet roll in the ensuite.

SakuraEdenSwan1 · 07/04/2021 07:49

@LovelaceBiggWither

Mine brought me a baby snake and was most surprised that I took the snake outside.

He's still looking for the snake 2 weeks later.

A baby snake!Shock

When I get home from the office today catface will be most vocal and annoyed that yet again she’s been left with dh for company. She prefers when i wfh so she can supervise me and interrupt my video calls.

She will follow me round the house moaning all evening until I settle in bed and she can sleep next to me on the pillow.

Preservethewood · 06/04/2021 14:24

I’ve needed to reclaim my office chair to, well, you know, work to earn pennies to buy dreamies

toffeebutterpopcorn · 06/04/2021 14:21

Oh no, a cat is never yours... it’s quite the reverse (you are the cat slave)

Soubriquet · 06/04/2021 13:16

@QueenPaw

He didn't approve of the food selection. This is not my cat
yes he is!!!!! Grin
ChequerBoard · 06/04/2021 12:57

I failed to open the lounge doors and set up the room for the day (open curtains, move scratching post to bird watching position, plump cat beds) when I went downstairs first thing to feed his Lordship make a cup of tea.

Meaningful glances have been exchanged between the 3 cats. I get the strong sense that they aren't so much cross as extremely disappointed in me....

Let me count the ways.

Biggest misdemeanour of the day was introducing 3 new pet chickens. Cat is disgusted and sulking!

IJustLovePirates · 06/04/2021 12:34

I locked her in my study to protect her from the grandkids. This was an overnight stay which meant she couldn’t sleep in our bedroom as usual and claw my back or arm or whatever limb has strayed from the safety of our bedding, when she wants her head scratched.

I fear she may never recover from the indignity

Chemenger · 06/04/2021 11:47

I’m not working this week and she’s very upset. She had to sit on my keyboard on my desk all by herself, even though I wasn’t there to annoy. I went out for a walk and got a huge lecture about not telling her where I was going when I got back.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 06/04/2021 11:00

So ... cats are evil or just mental? I’ve had many many cats in my time.

They have all (to a cat) been odd little furry buggers...

AlfonsoTheTerrible · 06/04/2021 10:46

So much cruelty and emotional abuse on this thread! It is to weep.

In other news: AlfonsoCat is shrieking the house down because he is bored and doesn't want to go outside or to play with any of his 23 toys.

Cowbells · 06/04/2021 10:10

I turned down his request for a third breakfast. There were paws.
