@Sevensilverrings

Hi! I’m a potter, if you like I can make you one like that? It would take me five minutes at the end of a batch of other things. Don’t want paid for it, but realistically, now my kids are all of school, your looking at three or four weeks from now before I get it twice through kiln. Happy to spread some cheer in these times. Let me know if you want it!
I'm also a bit baffled at the idea of a teaspoon rest but each to their own!!

This has been my favourite post of the day though, what a lovely offer I hope op accepts!

This is what Gu pots are for isn't it?

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 31/12/2020 22:29

Or even a dessert spoon although a desert spoon would stay drier

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 31/12/2020 22:28

Just use a clean desert spoon!

00100001 · 31/12/2020 22:26

Why do you need one? Confused

Beam me up.....please.....beam me up.....

rookgizzardpie · 31/12/2020 22:00

What for?! Why not just put it in the sink or dishwasher or was it then and there? I don’t understand tea bag rests either

ForTheLoveOfCatFood · 31/12/2020 21:52

Asda

MistleTOEboughski · 31/12/2020 21:28

Bluewavescrashing · 31/12/2020 21:24

Just use a ramekin.

SWnewstart · 31/12/2020 21:14

Sorry, but I'm another one wondering exactly why such a thing is needed! Use the spoon for whatever then throw it in the sink, dishwasher or leave it on the worktop for next time? Same with tea-bags - why does it have to live somewhere special?

Oh that is such a lovely offer!

On a separate note, how great must it be to be able to just "throw" utilitarian and beautiful objects together?

Soutiner · 31/12/2020 17:35

“Why does a teaspoon need a rest?”

..........

Well if you spent your life getting into hot water and stirring things up you’d need a rest occasionally!

peridito · 31/12/2020 17:33

Ah ,that's such a kind ,thoughtful post .Made my day!

Search on Etsy for “coffee spoon rest” (rattan than teaspoon, which I think gives you the larger tea bag style ones). Like this: www.etsy.com/uk/listing/858366378/mustard-herringbone-ceramic-spoon-rest

iklboo · 31/12/2020 16:48

Ones like this?

Anyone know where in the UK I can get a teaspoon rest?
Palavah · 31/12/2020 16:40

I also don't understand this.

Oblomov20 · 31/12/2020 16:40

They all seem very big, as if meant for tea bags. The OP was very small and seemed only to fit a tea-spoon.
