@SlopesOff

I have a shelf of cling film. Every time I shopped I knew I needed something that was that shape. Every time I go to the cupboard for foil and find there isn't any I resolve not to buy cling film by mistake.

I rarely use cling film and will probably never need to buy it ever again. I use foil because I can re-use it, if only I had some in the first place.

😂😂😂😂😂 keep 'em coming!!

And have ordered these kin denim trousers too. Bargain compared to Toast prices but depends what they are like in rl. Hoping they'll be considerably longer on my short arse...

@PerkingFaintly

The OP, and Smallsteps88's reply, are the conversation I've had with myself almost too often for it to be funny.

Almost.Grin

Lol! Yes it was a great reply Grin probably works for a normal person - if only that was me!

I do click and collect from Tesco. Every Thursday and the same time slot. About three weeks ago on Wednesday morning I got a call to ask why I hadn't collected my shopping. For some weird reason I had booked it for a Wednesday. Last week I went to amend my shopping that was due the following day and discovered I had it booked in for the following week .

If it’s any consolation, I’ve had my lunch delivered to my office instead of my home. I’ve not just done that once. I’ve done it three times in a month 🤬. (I’ve now deleted my office address from the app).

Myhoodieslongerthanyours · 06/10/2020 18:13

My elderly Dad sent me to the shop with his gas and electric keys and asked for £50 on each. The woman in the shop messed up and put £100 on the gas. I went back and told her the mistake but she said she couldn't refund it. No problem I said, just put another £50 on this, and handed over the gas card, again. Dad was not impressed with £150 of gas and no electric.

@BlackberrySky

Or that awful realisation when you think you ordered a lovely bottle of reasonably priced prosecco and it turns out to be a 250ml one!
I had that on amazon yesterday, saw a lovely whisky and thought that’s a good price (£35 but it was a nice whisky). Was a 20cl! Thankfully I noticed before buying.
Thecobwebsarewinning · 06/10/2020 18:07

I don’t know how I did it but I recently ordered 2 Waitrose deliveries for the same time slot on the same day. I didn't even know that was possible because the website says very clearly only one delivery a week Is allowed atm.

The driver was obviously bewildered too and very kindly offered to return one of the deliveries to the shop but weirdly there wasn’t a lot of overlap between the two shops so I kept them both. I still don’t know how it happened.

Cheerybigbottom · 06/10/2020 18:06

I ordered 5 bunches of 5 bananas once rather than 5 single bananas. Tell a lie, I did it twice Grin

@gurteee I could probably munch my way through the couscous but all those fucking batteries! Actually "fucking batteries"???? That gives me an idea - I could start a new hobby and get loads of different vibrators!

As hobbies go that sounds like a bloody good one!

Or just hang on to the batteries and on Xmas eve advertise on your local facebook, you'll make a killing :)

NachoNachoMan · 06/10/2020 17:57

We are a family of 5. I had an Asda delivery, and ordered some sweets/chocs from the 5 for £1 as a little treat for when we had planned to watch a movie that afternoon.

Kids wanted sweets. They came no problem. My husband wanted a caramel Freddo and I chose a chocolate Freddo (I don't like caramel)

Imagine my disappointment when they sent 2 caramel Freddos. My husband scoffed both whereas I had nothing. Angry

daisychain01 · 06/10/2020 17:56

Meant to say I never buy frozen spinach or blackberries doh!

ahhanotheryear · 06/10/2020 17:56

The recent ones in this house were four 4 packs of jacket potatoes instead of 4 potatoes. Tiny bags of flour instead of normal ones. And accidentally adding last weeks order to this weeks.

TomBradysLeftKneecap · 06/10/2020 17:56

I feel your pain. We accidentally ordered 8 bunches of bananas instead of 8 bananas the other day. Luckily, the kids REALLY like bananas.

Mumdiva99 · 06/10/2020 17:55

I got 2 packets of bagels this week instead of 1. Two boxes of eggs when we didn't need any. No onions.....who doesn't order onions with a weekly shop?

I blame it on their app. I'm sure it only shows me some of the things I've actually selected. Lol. Never user error......

Undies1990 · 06/10/2020 17:55

I thought I ordered 4 toilet rolls but received 4 packs of 12! They came in handy earlier this year!

daisychain01 · 06/10/2020 17:53

The past couple of online shops, I've ordered frozen spinach (which come in a bag of little spinach bundles, so quite convenient) and 2 packs of what turned out to be frozen blackberries rather than fresh - which I've made into a large crumble.

I need to stop stabbing away at the + sign and actually read what I'm buying!!

biddybird · 06/10/2020 17:52

I ordered 4kilos of carrots instead of 4 carrots.

nikkylou · 06/10/2020 17:51

It so easy to mess up the quantities.

I'm good at fucking up the veg. I swear they change round kg / quantity on every other one, and its never the same as last time.

So I can order, 3 carrots but courgettes are in kilos. But then it
changes the carrots later, to actually you want 0.3kg but I don't...I want THREE. But next time.... I can order 3 courgettes, but carrots... have to be guesstimated as kilos.

Plus occasionally it does some stupid average thing - you want 4 peppers, but it won't let you type 4 peppers, so you have to guess and go okay - 0.5kg peppers. but its decided a pepper is 157.4556g (secretly) - you have to type 0.63kg, which you've assumed must be 4 as it goes up in 157g increments....

I can only assume it then decided to round that figure... and present me with...1 romano pepper.

I can see why no-one orders loose veg...

TheGreatWave · 06/10/2020 17:51

I once got a lot of pizzas, I have no idea how I managed it.

Smallsteps88 · 06/10/2020 17:50

Yep, loads of pasta here. Also loads of mayonnaise and cereal. Confused
