If we timed it right, we could all park on the street and really mess up the system.

@originalcatlady tells us when each person leaves. As they do, one of us takes the parking space. We leave B till last as she is likely to try and launch a counterattack. Once all parked, we (including General OP) go away for a fortnight whilst using a ring doorbell to monitor the confusion, aggression and general entertainment that ensues. Maybe we broadcast the result. I bet Channel 4 would take it. They'd call it something like "The Experiment" or "Dressing Gown Devastation"

originalcatlady · 22/02/2020 20:16

All alone so I can provide you all with updates 🤣

Phew. F is back in her precious 4.

D is in 2/3

And they've left you stuck at home!

originalcatlady · 22/02/2020 19:10

Ooo one by one they have all gone out! The street is empty...it'll be a free for all later!!

I think you missed an update!

BinkySodPlop · 22/02/2020 14:59

F is in 5, still, I think? The person missing in action is C, who is presumably out having a lovely time somewhere? Now if she comes back and parks in 1/2, will it set B off??

originalcatlady · 22/02/2020 12:53

I think the Daily Fail would be back if I did that 🤣

Bazbear · 22/02/2020 12:47

I think we need @originalcatlady to get a ring doorbell then upload snippets of action this whole thing is amazing

originalcatlady · 22/02/2020 12:43

Haha. Yes she gave up. Very red faced.

I wonder where F is?!

@Lweji oh god of course that's what it means, I read it as back as in back where she belongs not back as in gave up and went back!! Grin

Lweji · 22/02/2020 11:43

...had to...

Lweji · 22/02/2020 11:43

It is.
I'm reading she left 4, tried to park in 1/2 and bad to return to 4, or wherever she was.

WhatICallMyUsername · 22/02/2020 11:40

Oh god I am getting confused now, I thought B's "spot" was 1/2 Confused

Lweji · 22/02/2020 11:31

You could probably make a lot of money by putting her attempts on YouTube. for us to see

originalcatlady · 22/02/2020 11:29

After trying several times in both directions, B is back in 4 Grin

originalcatlady · 22/02/2020 11:15

Ahha! Finally B is twitching her curtains!!!

OP posts:
originalcatlady · 22/02/2020 08:26

So this morning...

Mr and Mrs K have just left for work...and C arrives home and parks in 3.

We could have some fun later when B realises her space is vacant...but she can't actually get into it 🤷‍♀️😂

D is still in X/1.

F has gone out again. (Or was taken out by a fire engine in the middle of the night 🤣)

OP posts:
originalcatlady · 22/02/2020 08:23

Mr B seems perfectly happy with his little pottering about life...wanders to the shops, stops and talks to the other older gentlemen, runs errands.

TeetotalKoala · 22/02/2020 08:13

Re the fire engine. I always hope that one will hurtle down my street and take out my neighbour who reverses into the on street parking, but leaves his wheel sticking out as he doesn't bother to straighten them up. I get irrationally angry every time I see it.

Ineedanap90 · 22/02/2020 08:06

Just read the updates as we were travelling home last night and I didn't have access to this amazing thread.. What's the site this morning? Has anyone seen Mr B recently? Does he ever go out the house.. I know he doesn't drive but I'm worried for his safety

DdraigGoch · 21/02/2020 23:45

Cars are passing through ok but I doubt a fire engine could
That wouldn't worry them. Section 44 of the F&RS Act basically gives firefighters blanket permission to force their way through, never mind the damage to the cars.

originalcatlady · 21/02/2020 22:39

I'm on it! We could get those opera glasses too, so you can check out the furious faces twitching the curtains!

I say we organise a MN bus trip to visit this street. @originalcatlady would you organise some lawn chairs, we'll all bring a variety of nibbles, drinksand parking obstructions and enjoy a day or more of parking shenanigans?

Screw Disneyland, I'm bringing an autograph book cos I need to meet these legends (Mr & Mrs K, I'm looking at you, you sneaky wonderful bastards), maybe wear my pink dressing gown and get a snap with the original pink lady Mrs B

originalcatlady · 21/02/2020 22:16

@TeetotalKoala F hasn't wasted any watching time by getting changed into her dressing gown!

And it's the weekend, so anything could happen tomorrow.
