They had to park in the next street and then return and block the street again whilst A got into the car - which takes ages.

It's also access to As garage though. (Although I know there's debate on the law of this.)

I have spent the last week devouring all three threads and so excited to have finally reached the end and find it’s still going.

Thanks for the entertainment @originalcatlady

Nanasueathome · 07/03/2020 11:45

Surely though, if it’s a disabled spot then unless the visitors are disabled they have no more right to the spot than C

TeetotalKoala · 07/03/2020 11:44

C doesn't answer to anyone does she? Poor A. Getting sucked into this.

originalcatlady · 07/03/2020 11:39

Not actually sitting in the road. In their car. They aren't quite that crazy in Alphabet Street.

OP posts:
originalcatlady · 07/03/2020 11:39

There is no space in the street. C is in X. A has visitors and is knocking on C's door. No answer. Visitors are sitting in the road, causing a bit of backlog now...

Who's Sharon Horgan?

TeetotalKoala · 07/03/2020 08:55

Ooooh. It's Saturday! Let the weekend shenanigans commence. Also, I am gleeful that not only is B on lates this coming week, but that C and D are getting hacked off enough to really punish her. I'm hoping that they don't let us down.

Do you think that the K's attitude has encouraged them to take a stand?

Weenurse · 07/03/2020 03:31

Maybe you could borrow Olaf and his safety vest and set him up outside A’s house?

sunshinesupermum · 06/03/2020 20:59

You most definitely need Olaf! I cannot believe B & C doing this fandango almost every time.

originalcatlady · 06/03/2020 20:52

I think I need to find Olaf!

Tonight was a repeat of yesterday...B parked in X/1 then moved into 1/2 when C went out. B went out and C moved into 1/2. C went out and B moved into 1/2.

D is parking very far along in 3, making things quite difficult too. He's definitely pissed off with it all.

BUT then C returned and chose 4 instead of X Grin

You know how some posters were speculating the OP was Sharon Horgan?
Well...

Today 5PM Iwas driving daughter home from school. It's a relatively small 2 way road and there is an awkward bend just outside the school gates.
Massive Jag 4 x 4 was stopped on the bend. The engine was running but he car was stationary with no hazards.
I had to wait for oncoming traffic and manoeuvre round it just as a bike was overtaking me on the inside past the Jag.

As I finally drove past I (naturally) decided to passive aggressively glare at the driver..... who happened to be Sharon fucking Horgan!!!! (She was on her phone and didn't even look up, let alone notice me).

I nearly crashed in excitement. DD (14) was utterly unimpressed and I couldn't explain that all I could think about was the Olaf parking thread. And the knowledge that it was full and I couldn't post this story anywhere.

Hence me hijacking this thread. Sorry OP.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 06/03/2020 19:20

Olaf? I'm following that one as well. Between the two of these my life is complete!

anonacfr · 06/03/2020 19:15

Sorry to hijack but is anyone here from the Irish parking thread (also in Classics)?

deligirl1 · 06/03/2020 19:12

Keep this thread going i love it

clunkyinthebackend · 06/03/2020 18:55

I’m so happy this thread is still going on

originalcatlady · 06/03/2020 16:47

I was just in the supermarket when I heard a lady, upon seeing the lack of loo roll on the shelves, exclaim to her husband "This is ridiculous! It can't go on like this!" Made me wonder if I had found Mrs B?! Grin

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 06/03/2020 13:45

So was I....

Daftapath · 06/03/2020 13:41

@AskingQuestionsAllTheTime I think @mrsBtheparker was joking

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 06/03/2020 13:36

The clutch is the pedal in the car that you push down to stop the engine from making the car move. (It's a bit more complicated than that but I don't want to be too difficult here.) The clutch pedal is the one that isn't the brake or the accelerator.

If there are only two pedals then the car is an automatic, it doesn't have have a clutch apart from the automatic one, and I apologise for confusing the matter.

But I suspect that batting short distances to and fro might not be too good for an automatic clutch either....

mrsBtheparker · 06/03/2020 10:01

MrsB here, what's that about 'clutch', I don't keep hens?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 05/03/2020 23:37

Not too good for the clutch either, I bet.
