Another thread has made me realise there are so many threads/posts about Christmas stresses and angst, and the same things seem to pop up every year. Every single year! I think we need cards and a competition to see who wins Full House first...

DH went out for his works Christmas party and has not come home yet and it's 7am - where is he?

The lovely Christmas Playmobil thread: always a joy Xmas Smile

This thread has made me laugh. I've been ill for the last two weeks, and we've also had to cancel lots of things. raise a Wine to my fellow sufferers. Cheers!

DreamingofSunshine · 20/12/2019 17:01

ifeellikeanidiot · 20/12/2019 17:00

I LOVE the getting charged for xmas ones.

ifeellikeanidiot · 20/12/2019 16:59

Hamperhate is a new contender for 2019. With bonus rows about whether food banks want chestnut picallily or not. Never seen this thread before, but we've had two already. Here's to new traditions Wine

FruitcakeOfHate · 20/12/2019 16:54

The cash for Christmas dinner threads. 'I charge everyone 30 quid a head' and the CFer guests who take all the leftovers or bring a tin of Carlsberg and drink like fish.

Maiyakat · 20/12/2019 16:51

Has there been a 'SIL wants to charge us each £30 for Christmas dinner' thread yet?

slipperywhensparticus · 20/12/2019 16:47

I think we have had them all even hampergate 🤷‍♀️

gothefcktosleep · 20/12/2019 16:45

“BlackeyedSusan

You've missed the annual AIBU to not want to travel on Christmas Eve, due date 25th, and DH has not booked a room thread. “

@GrouchyKiwi

Preens smugly but secretly wondering if I need to do a "what did this person mean by this totally innocuous comment that I will give absolutely no context for" AIBU

What about the 9 month pregnant martyr with one arm in a sling who HAS to host 25 people at xmas that she hasn't invited - for reasons she can't go in to ?

PuppyMonkey · 20/12/2019 16:22

Well, OP, you’ve forgotten the multiple threads about whether Fairytale of New York is genius or rubbish.Grin

Also the ones about why shops have to open again on Boxing Day and why it’s not fair retail workers never see their families (but it’s ok for restaurant/pub/hotel/cinema workers to stay at fork all the time).

And I’m particularly looking forward to the “online deliveries going wrong” threads which will start appearing this weekend.

Fucck · 20/12/2019 16:20

Serendipity, Anyone else seeing a lot of duplicated threads or is it just me?

I have, and the ones I can actually open don't appear to have an OP

PiggyInTheMiddle19 · 20/12/2019 16:14

This made me laugh

I thought I was annoyed dh invited inlaws for Xmas when I wanted a quiet one.. But the reality is it really don't matter!

I must have a boring life..

willitbe · 20/12/2019 16:13

You have missed off the "Janet and Roy" round robin Christmas letters....

Camomila · 20/12/2019 16:12

I have a gigantic long wish list of Stuff That I want but can't afford. Me too!

I know DH has got me a bread maker for Christmas, I am super excited and will reward him with many bread rolls Smile

Seriouslyconfused3 · 20/12/2019 16:11

Has anyone mentioned the ‘we all hate Christmas dinner Aibu to cook something we actually like’ threads?

tillytrotter1 · 20/12/2019 16:04

I’m looking forward to the one complaining about the state of the ils’ spare room and how inconvenient it is that it hasn’t got an en-suite with endless fluffy towels and “high end” toiletries

You forget the bathroom bin controversy!

SerenDippitty · 20/12/2019 16:03

Anyone else seeing a lot of duplicated threads or is it just me?

GrouchyKiwi · 20/12/2019 16:03

Are cheese footballs just regular cheeseballs with more expensive branding? I am baffled.

MorrisZapp · 20/12/2019 16:02

You forgot is wanting someone you fancy to stay a bit longer in your house and singing a charming festive song about it a bit rapey?

Also: cheese footballs as class markers.

GrouchyKiwi · 20/12/2019 16:00

Only compared with SnobbyMcSlutson. Your name is obviously superlative in every way, Smuggy.

SmuggyMcKnobson · 20/12/2019 15:57

I think SluttyMcSlobson has a better ring to it.

Oh no it doesn't Xmas Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 20/12/2019 15:52

I think SluttyMcSlobson has a better ring to it.

tillytrotter1 · 20/12/2019 15:45

This thread comes across quite mean spirited.
Some folk struggle at Xmas.
Taking the rip out them is a bit mean

Bingo!
